I need it to and for a very reasonable price. Navigating through the menu takes a little getting use to but the tool does a lot. It's able to read live data and preform actuation test, its prettyquickand accurate. It also does coding, and immobilizer systems. Really like how it saves vehicle information, pictures, screen recording, screen shots and data stream recording in the system for future reference. Customer service is extremely helpful if there's any questions about the tool and actually reaches out to make sure your satisfied with the product and will answer any questions you have. I'm extremely satisfied with this product and highly recommend this scan tool to anyone looking for an advanced diagnostic tool that won't break the bank. Great tool for a great price. Looking forward to more products from topdon in the future!

This is a great scan tool, a large one, with great capabilities! On a serious note, one of the reasons we choses this scan tool was the VCI. The better scan tools today use wireless VCI's (Vehicle communication interfaces), but this one takes it one step farther using WIFI to communicate between the VCI and the scanner instead of bluetooth. WIFI allows for communication over greater distances, at least 60 feet. Additionally WIFI has the ability to transfer data at a much higher rate, and is less prone to interference when compared to bluetooth. The VCI has it's own touch screen and can also serve as a J2534 device to facilitate programming / reprogramming of vehicle modules. On top of all that, the VCI can also connect to the internet to allow a technical specialist at a remote location to perform diagnostics or reprogramming on the vehicle. This scan tool is the flagship of Launch's lineup and is extremely powerful, you will not regret buying it!

Love the wireless obd connectivity. Came with a basic battery tester which is a plus even though I haven’t tested it out yet. Overall I’m extremely impressed with its functionality and the topology is 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 haven’t used the tech support but it’s good to know they offer programming support and as long as you keep updates current the tool will always be under warranty! That itself is a plus compared to snappy😞

recently utilized it for engine system program in a on a Mrcedes SIM271DE20 car. and the programming process proved to be remarkably simple. it's completed in less than five minutes Additionally, the Launch X431 PAD VIl boasts compatibility with almost all mainstream protocols,includingD-PDU,J2534，RP1210, and more. Looking to not break too much over $30K. Reliability is paramount, after which I’m prioritizing MPG and comfort since I’m spending a lot of time on the road. 6’ with long arms and legs. I don’t need a ton of extra space or power, perfectly fine with a boring car as long as it’ll eat miles up with regular maintenance. Affordable replacement part availability would also be nice.

Scanner is solid. Connects well. Especially like the Bluetooth connection. Autoscan works well. It seems to have an issue with older cars (1999) that are OBDII in scanning the most basic ecm's. Sent a tech request and still waiting for reply. Could just be a software issue or something hardware related. New cars, no problems, everything seems to work OK. All in all, does what it says. Needs to have ability to customize your reports.

Generally speaking, when connected online, the device runs more stably and the diagnostic speed is faster, while when connected to WiFi, it is affected by distance and surrounding environment. It is recommended to stay in relatively open areas for better performance.
