I just have to say, I don't have children of my own yet, but I love your videos. You are such a wonderful mother to your kids. I didn't have a mom growing up, and your videos make me so happy... I feel like as a woman in my mid-twenties, that I am living vicariously through your children, because almost every video makes me tear up because you are so sweet, kind, and patient... I just really wish I would have had a mother like you to raise me. You're a true inspiration. ~~Much Love

Could you please video the banana bread in the bread machine? I did the cornbread and it was wonderful. It will be such a blessing to do that this summer instead of turning the oven on! We absolutely love Aldi. We are also a trim healthy family! Our Aldi has an on plan sprouted bread that is great, and it is half the price of Ezekiel bread. I think at ours it is $2.79. It's by the flat bread and specialty bread items :)
@ecmomma8 жыл бұрын
Your prices blow my mind, what a blessing. In Canada food is so expensive. Milk at Walmart is $5.07 -Which is the cheapest place. Organic eggs can be up to $7.00, bananas are around $2.00 for like 3 or 4 bananas. I also have a large family so it's always $300-400 every week for our groceries.
@trishiawatson2988 жыл бұрын
I love Aldi too! With our growing family, I also haven't had time to clip coupons or even really look at sale ads (I used to coupon religiously for years!), and Aldi makes saving easy.. don't have to put much thought into it!

I have to tell you how much I appreciate you videos. I found your channel after the Florida Parent Educators Association posted a link to your $170 Aldi's haul. I had never shopped at Aldi's prior to seeing this even though we have one about 15 minutes away. After watching you feed your family of 9 for only $170 I decided I could do it as well and cheaper since we are only a family of 3. I copied your exact list but adjusted the amounts on some (we would never be able to eat 20+ lbs of banana's or 10 gallons of milk before it went bad obviously) and we took off the Aldi's. Because I had been in the hospital I had not shopped in about 2 weeks prior so I was a bit nervous about the amount I would spend. I was able to get out and only spend $137! That is even with getting extras such as toilet paper, paper towels, granola bars (I knew I should have left hubby and my son at home lol). I am now hooked! I am going back this week to try to mimic this haul. As an added bonus I dont have to think about meal plans if I just try your recipes and it is something new since we were in a rut for meals. I also have now watched all your videos and have gotten great ideas for homeschooling and every day life! Thank you for being such an inspiration!

Hi Jamerrill, I read a great tip about stocking up your pantry a few weeks ago. Spent every week $5 on a pantry-item that you use often. So one week you stock up on sugar for 5 dollar. The other week you stock up on black beans or anything like that. Greetings and blessings!!

Re your pineapples @ 6.35. Here's a homeschool science lesson for you next time you buy pineapples. Cut the tops off and stand them in a carton/cup/glass of water until they sprout roots. Then you can plant them in a pot and put them on a sunny windowsill and they will continue to grow as a lovely plant. You won't get a fruit from them, but if the windowsill is warm enough you might get a flower. I had one in my bathroom window for years :) Good luck!

im not sure if you know this but you can tell that a pineapple is ripe by pulling one of the centre leaves out. if it comes out easily, its good to go. if it takes a bit of tugging then its semi ripe and if the leaf wont budge at all its very under ripe. just a quick tip. :-)

What kinds of foods do you eat for snacks? How many snacks do you feed your kids per day? They don't help the grocery budget especially with being a large family. Snacks are expensive and I find when I feed my kids them too close to dinner then they don't eat dinner! It's also hard cooking dinner with cranky kids that are hungry though, if I don't feed them an afternoon snack! Just interested how you do that. Love your vlogs!

Have you ever considered oiling your eggs so that they'll last longer? Then when you came across great sales like you found here (for Memorial Day I'm sure, Aldi likes to put things on sale for special occasions to make things easier on families), you could stock up for a while. Especially since your flock is currently depleted.
