Greetings, Ali, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸 This was a long tour ❤ Why doesn't Gerald like Perlite? Your Garden amazes me. You are a force! I'm just trying to keep up with heat and chores. We were in the 90's May, June and now July the middle 90's. It's almost 80°at 5a.m so even gardening early is draining. Take care of yourselves ❤Peggy❤

Hi Ms Peggy thanks for popping by. He is old school and just thinks it’s bad (asbestos on the brain) so I allow him his little rants and use other things. I am working early or late and hiding in the house during the day 🫠. This coming week we could peak at 33+ but who knows except Mother Nature. We don’t normally get his hot this early as it started mid June. Look after each other and have a wonderful week ahead 🥰🥰

It’s very disheartening Heidi and I find it more and more difficult to find quality. But I’m trying like so many to make my own soils but I needed this coir for the vegepod “mulch”. They are lovely and so papery my other poppies didn’t come back so I’ll have to sow more next spring. I am trying a new trick 🤪 putting my ideas on paper. I hope you are well and weather is kind, have a marvellous week ahead and thanks for always being there 🙏

Hi Ali. Your garden has grown so much. Alderman peas, they are wonderful. Your Tromboncino, is it in the ground or still in the pit? I love your raised beds. I must look for those. How pretty are your mauve poppies. I grow purple top milan turnips. Check around the edges of your pots for snails. They love it under them. Huuuge fliwers on your lillies. You've got strawberries 🍓 yay. Beautiful Zinnias. The bees will love your nasturtium. I would feed your apple tree with general purpose fertiliser. Wow, your seeds germinated fast in your vegepod. Your garden is so prolific. Cocosmia, they really are prolific but mine aren't flowering. I'm going to give them away. Take care Ali 🫛🫛🫛🫛🥒🥒🍏🍏🍏🥕🥕🥕🐛🐌😁👍
@myrustygarden4 ай бұрын
The tromboncino is in the ground in a bottomless pot, reasoning is it has a copper ring around said pot to ha ha keep slugs at bey. Alderman peas are fantastic but as always poor planning and they are taking over. I bought the Vegepods second hand and oh lord they are a game changer,min fact I bought a large one (video to come). Wayyyyyy too expensive new especially if you buy the trolleys for them but these were a smokin deal and I have money to burn apparently 🤣🤣. The vining nasturtium is literally taking over the fences 🤦♀️ and I didn’t put in that many again poor planning, it they are beautiful 😍. I have crocosmia coming up where I thought I’d removed it all in the veg area too so I’ll have to mark them with ribbon to remember to move them. Have a simply awesome day Elaine I hope it’s still sunny for you, we have finally dropped to high 20’s and rain may show up by the 20th of July 🤞🤞🤞

Oh lord Tracey I certainly hope it is better for you this week. The garden is starting to give up its treasures for sure 👍. I harvested some bolero carrots and potatoes for my daughter she was thrilled. My tomatoes have a huge amount of branches and I have mainly given up trying to control them. It’s been just too hot to get out and do the sideshoots etc. but the squash seem to like it this hot. I’m watering constantly but we don’t have any restrictions yet on watering veg and flowers but grass. We never water the grass anyway 🤣🤣 or I’d have to cut it more. Have a great day and hope you can get to the allotment for,some soil therapy 👍👍

Wow how lush, and the rearrange you did just makes it all flow so well. Those veggie pods are going to be a back saver for sure. Love the built in covers. My Ali poppies are all done for the year. It goes so quickly. Could you just do bottomless pots in the brassica cage? Gets the plants up higher, but takes advantage of all that moisture below. The upside down pots as plant stands actually look rather cool. Dang varmints.🤪
