This is the most well-reasoned view of the Word of Wisdom I have heard.

From my first trip to India, back in 2008, I came back with a terrible sworn toe. Any balm I tried, didn't help and instead quickly went worse! It became a big hole (it was the toe next to the big one on my right foot) and it was paining so hard. Then I was reminded of a sigar I actually had kept in my draw for occasions like this, because I had read it from Joseph Smith's d&c. I applied tobacoe leaf from the sigar on my toe and in TWO DAYS! all was gone, wound closed, healed, no pain nothing nada!

What amazing men to respect something sacred to the LDS, something not part of the CoC, and not want to talk about it out of respect.

Love the channel. Just found it. I've been on a binge the whole week. These two men are very knowledgeable, I could listen to them for hours. Mr. Mackay mentioned "strong drinks" and "barley" for "mild drinks". Did he mention off camera anything about "hot drinks" and what that meant to Joseph Smith and the early saints?

I don't recall Lach discussing hot drinks, but you may be interested in what Greg Prince had to say about hot drinks: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnfMdYiwnbuXoNU

@@GospelTangents Thank you for the prompt response. The Greg Prince interview answered my question perfectly. Again, I love your channel and what you're doing. I've learned so much meaningful LDS history in a week and a half just by watching your videos.

I have gone through the temple there was washing and anointing but I don't recall alcohol being used

That's right. Alcohol was only used prior to the Utah period in the Kirtland and nauvoo temples

@@GospelTangents they change the way the washing and anointing is done no more touching of the body parts and other things

I think it was about 5 years ago that they changed the ceremony to make it easier on patrons and temple workers.
