I really like how it feels like a natural continuation of the first game. It would have been very easy to make a sequel that is just the first game again but with a few new mechanics and in a different setting, like having to build a new city on a glacier or something. Nobody would have faulted you, but instead you decided to make it a true sequel both mechanically and narratively. Bravo.

I'm still hoping for a series/show based on Frostpunk one day. I think it could be a really good character-driven story about morality and perspective, mixed in with a bit of mystery about the goings-on in such a cold world (to keep people theorising). Industrial projects, disappearances, upcoming popular electoral candidates, class/work divisions, riots, serial homicides, tragic relationships. Given a high budget and some stellar production value, the cinematography and music would play very well into immersing people. What other victorian-esque post-apocalypse is there???

It really is a great setting for a series. It would really have to dig deep into the hopeless situation they're in though, with the clash between the leadership having to make difficult harsh choices and the discontent of the people. Showing the horrific conditions the people would have to endure out of necessity for survival, incoming refugee waves that put a strain on already meager resources and the clash between people already living there and the refugees.

The gameplay footage looks amazing, but the message from the directors made me realize that for most games, the players never see or hear the developers, seeing the developers deliver a message makes me more excited for the game, I'm waiting, I'm not in a hurry, take your time with the game.

As someone who absolutely loved the first game for its depth in story and moral depth, I am so excited for the sequel. Already, from what you have shown, it looks like the game will be just as deep, if not deeper than the first! The best part of Frostpunk was the emotional turmoil, indeed in reacting to the great terrible environment you were in. The feeling of guilt for your actions, which you thought justified while disorder broke out, is only going to get more intense and interesting with competing factions. AMAZING.

I find it fascinating that the most interesting European games come from Eastern Europe: Frostpunk, Last Train Home, Disco Elysium, Cyberpunk. Im so freaking hyped for this game. When I saw the first preview images I already decided that the game will be great. I hope you can have multiple cities at once on one big map. slowly building a big country full of small and big cities. in which your role shifts from city mayor to basically local lord or president. but stuff like this will probably not be in frostpunk 2 : ( but we can always hope for a dlc, mod or frostpunk 3

FrostPunk is a masterpiece. Gamer for 30 years and it's comfortably in my top ten games of all time. May not have discovered if not for Games Pass. Really excited for this. Little nervous about the political lean away from the survival lean but if it's half as good or more than the first game it will be a gem no matter what. Above averages reviews and i plan to buy this day one. Full RRP no questions asked,

I can't wait for the gameplay trailer, every time a new image or video drops, my pure excitement to once again dive into a universe that has never left me builds. Very excited for the soundtrack as well, I hope Piotr Musiał is working on the score. The City Must Survive is a track that has stuck with me; I still remember my first New London clinging onto life as the strings soared and a feeling a dread and determination took me.
