I saw some tests on the gen 1 control vs the gen 2 x and the gen one had faster serve numbers… so the control in my opinion is a better buy

I’d be looking at the Kevlar version cuz it sounds like a great mix of soft and fast. “Non-plus Hurache X” How can you name model after model the same? Seriously?!?! They couldn’t confuse people more if they tried.

Thanks great review and comparison! Great company and paddles but they really need to change their model names. The model names are all too similar. I would pick the Hurache-X Control 16mm.

Very nice overview of 11SIX24's lineup! I'm noticing with the latest paddles in blue Kevlar that the face appears dirty quickly. The paddle you show here, while beautiful, it also looks pretty shabby in the hitting area. Does this clean off with a damp microfiber towel or is it more permanently 'stained' here? Appreciate your review!

I believe it just wipes off with a damp microfiber, but I need to double check. There’s also a cool cleaner called Paddle Reset that I’m going to try out. I have a link in the vid description for that in case you want to check it out!

Great comparison of the huraches. the kevlar would be my choice due to the extra dwell time it stays on the paddle. probably better for control and spin.

I’ve always been curious if the earlier DBD batches played hotter than the later ones. Mine is from about 6 months ago and doesn’t compare at all in power to the Hurache-X Control+ IMO.

I like the Hurache Control X w Kevlar because of the added dwell time the Kevlar layer gives whilst still giving good power and pop. I’ve played w the Hurache X Control Plus and feel the face is too stiff and prone to pop ups.

Matt I NEED this paddle!!! I’ve played with the Hurache-X and I think the fiberglass layer is a little too poppy for me. I like the idea of a more plush dwell feeling Kevlar brings to the paddle I already love. Need to play with them side by side! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I got an opportunity to play with the kevlar dbd and absolutely loved the feel of the kevlar face. I would love to get my hands on the kevlar faced version (of course having two children definitely cuts the extra spending money way down, lol.) since getting my hands on a kevlar faced paddle isnt possible at the moment.

Hurache-X would be my choice. I’m fully onboard the Kevlar train and I have enough power, but a little help on the touch side wouldn’t hurt. Oh, and it looks amazing!

Great video. I’ve used the Control+ and love the handle length, extra power and pop. I totally agree about the stiffer face on it compared to the DBD. Plus the extra stiffness on the paddle face translates to a more jarring experience on my elbow. So much that I simply can’t use it anymore. The fact that this Kevlar variant plays like a J2K is great news to me. Would love to grab one of these!

Hurache-X control - after playing with the hurache-x+ for the past few weeks and it’s been an amazing paddle. With the new Kevlar material I am excited to see how much power and spin will come off the ball now. I like to Harche X Control because i think kevlar is the next thing and this paddle gives good control and still enough power. The extra power and longer handle than the J2K means paying less than 10 bucks more for a better double backhand. Worth it. 😎
