MADISON / HENDERSON, TENNESSEE: Aerial views of tornado destruction of homes and businesses near Nesbit Road in Madison and off of Main Street in Hendersonville. Three fatalities occurred in Madison in the area shown initially as well as a power substation that was hit hard and caused the massive fireball into the tornado vortex yesterday. More damage was noted at the marina on the northeast side of Old Hickory Lake where the tornado crossed downing trees and destroying a mobile home. Several businesses were damaged including Big Play that collapsed on one side off of Main Street in Hendersonville.

It was incredible drone footage; indeed, well put together and edited. I'm assuming the pilot was Part 107 FAA certified and licensed. As a drone pilot, I'd be interested in knowing the model of drone and the camera system utilized. May God bless and give peace to those who lost so much in this catastrophe.🙏

5:46 this looks like the old KMART PARKING LOT HENDERSONVILLE, I pulled into that parking lot back in the spring of 2012 headed south towards nashville, I saw what looked like a tornado coming from nashville. It just "lifted away." Got lucky that day.

The drone operator has broken numerous FAA regulations as well as State of Tennessee rules regarding photographing private property, and has not followed requirements in no fly zones. Most likely the operator is not a Part 107 certificate holder and if they were could be fined by the FAA. Disaster or not we all have to follow the rules and it is companies like this that give drone operators a bad name.
