The Thunderbird was a gem back in its time. Honestly, if they retained almost everything of that bike and only updated the engine for better refinement and gave it a gear position indicator, that would be enough. I miss the Thunderbird's LED tail lights, projector headlights, twin pod instrument cluster, and of course, the name itself.

As a past user of RTR 200 4V for 5 years, I was not exactly happy with the bike. I liked the speed and pickup of the bike. But ride was uncomfortable and in longer time TVS engine is not reliable compared to peers. Sold it last month.

greetings from the u k , in the future i would like to know how many total miles these bikes are capable of. i realise in india they are used much more than here ,so when i hear a meteor has done 50 thousand miles or more i know that the engine is long lasting. i have a super nova in brown colour.

Brother, engine will last for a long time. That will never be an issue. What you should worry about is, spare parts. Although we continuously supply to the UK but still the fact remains that it is not getting manufactured there. I personally feel that, although you might have to wait for parts (sometimes), but you'll always get them coz I can only see an increasing demand of RE in the UK. The engine may not be the smoothest in the world but rest assured engine is never gonna fail you. Keep riding, PEACE. Edit: Oldest bike company for a reason. We still have people with bullets which once used to come with gear shifters on right side.

There is one sound especially it comes when we are ascending the slope. When we accelerate more in 3rd or 4th gear at certain RPM some vibrations come and we feel some coin clanking sort of noise coming from speedo meter or visor for few seconds until we get sufficient acceleration power I checked tapping adjustments and everything but this issue is mystery to RE service center. They are saying this happens in every meteor and just ignore it. But this is very irritating noise in ghat sections when we ascend the slopes continuously. Please let me know if you are aware of this or if anyone is facing this similar issue.
