First 2 clips were shot near North East, PA on I-90 on the way to Hamburg, NY. Rest of the footage os from near Hamburg, NY as an intense lake effect snow band took shape on Friday evening - Christmas.

Left Hamburg in 10/19 and I don't miss the snowstorms. In Mid- Michigan, we don't get any lake effect and a snowblower is used maybe 4 times a winter. Mostly less than 3 inches fall at one time here.

I was there in it. Literally Camp road 75. With the wind, at times it was a whiteout. It broke the record for that date for snowfall. This made me remember I have a dash cam. I want to go look through the footage.

That's a storm. A white out means exactly that, you can't see anything but white not even the hood of your truck or car, it's horrible.

To the last commentor, this is Buffalo, are you kidding me? Christmas 2005 we got 7 ft of snow in 15 hours! Couldnt open doors or windows. But we all have a great sense of humor. Many opened our front doors and carved out shelves and kept our beer in Outdoor Snow Refridgerators!

Still waiting to see the WHITEOUT. If you can see a vehicle 50-100 yards away, it's not a whiteout. Low visibility? Try a CA Central Valley winter fog.

I am going to start uploading blizzards like this, like the ones in the plains where you actually cannot see fifteen feet in front of you and get -30* to -100* F wind chills with 70mph winds. That is a storm and they can last for days.

Ive driven Northeast Ohio winters all my life and can attest to the dangers of whiteouts. The stretch of i90 from Cleveland to Genava during the winter is truly brutal.
