I used to have a weather loach. Great fun to watch, always busy. I can't understand why all cold water loaches/fish seem to need water temp. of 60 (ish) and over. Mine NEVER had heaters and lived to nearly 8yrs. old. With today's tech. all fish/loaches seem to require heaters - water changes weekly and testing. Mine never had all this stuff...water out the tap, plastic plants...had fish for years. Looks like they're wrapped in cotton wool these days.

They are very hardy fish. We have had some fish get less hardy over time due to breeding. Neon tetras are good examples.

@@AquariumStoreDepot I have made a list of the loach's you showed & have to do a more research on each of them to be sure which 1's will be good for my aquarium set up B-4 decision is made, cause of the plants I have & other fish that are in my tank. That’s unusual. Easy fish is different though. Sounds like the dojo was an aggressive or the tank was on the small size
