Nice pickups! Standouts to me: Chevelle - which is a band I really like but somehow have none of their albums - would love to find them out in the wild. And Paula Abdul - I had that cassette when I had next to nothing similar to that type of music. I picked it up on CD early last year when I started (re)collecting CDs. It still holds up incredibly well imo. Great video!

Cool pick ups! I'm thinking of doing the #1 hits of 1970-1979 all-CD's (the way I did for 1980-1989), speaking of which that Paula Abdul CD had to appear 3x in my 1989 because her three #1 hits that year. Then I decided to do all-vinyl videos for the #1 hits of 1990-1999 and later decades.

@@redcomusic ooh. Sounds like a great plan. 70-79 was an interesting decade for music. That would make for a great video. I’d check it out for sure. Poke.

@@sonnycasper1578 Huh. Cool. She went off my radar after the s/t album. Never dawned on me to see what she’s been up to. I will definitely check out Black Rainbows. Thx for the tip!

I have a deluxe version of Corrine Bailey Rae's disc. I'm more into older soul and jazz but couldn't resist for a buck. You like a lot of diverse stuff. Cds with their compilations and singles go deep in number. I have 80,000 individual cd titles but I'm only interested in less than 1% of rock, 1% of hip hop, and 1% of post 2000 releases. Reissues of soul and jazz are another matter which aren't always as easy to come by and are usually the first to get pulled out of the thrift stores and bargain bins. Those 50's-80's reissues already stood some test of time since they decided to reissue them onto cd. Imports and limited deluxe reissues make up the bulk of my collection. I'm surprised you didn't realize that the version of "Forever your girl" isn't the hit version. You need the single or greatest hits for that one. However the hit version was tough to find for a full decade. Well, I'll do the tag on here just for fun. Let's start off with a controversial one as their drummer, Mark Herndon actually wasn't really a remember when they were formerly called Wild Country. Alabama "Roll on", "The Closer you get", "My home's in Alabama", "40 hour week" all on RCA. Modern Jazz Quartet (MJQ)-"Concorde", "Django" both on Prestige, "Together Again! Live At The Montreux Jazz Festival '82" on Pablo, "Quartet" on Savoy. Gladys Knight and the Pips- "Feelin' bluesy" "Silk N soul", "Everybody needs love" all on Motown, "Visions" on Columbia. Shai-"If I ever fall in love" "Right back 'at cha", "Blackface" all on Gasoline Alley/MCA, Destiny on Big Play Records. There's a lot more quintets, sextets, and trios out there.

@@DorianPaige00 Very true. Quartets are not necessarily rare, but definitely not as popular as trios or larger groups
