Smart people don't need others to have a good time. Psychologists in the UK found out that people who learned to read early on are more intelligent. Norwegian researchers at the University of Oslo have proven that older children are almost always a bit smarter than their younger siblings. Another sign of intelligence and future success can be seen from a very young age: 3-year-olds that are taller than their peers have much higher scores on cognitive tests. People who had some formal music training for at least 9 months boast higher IQ levels than those who were in drama club or didn't do any extracurriculars at all. Intelligent people prefer activities that demand patience and constant mental stimulation to active sports. @jean Well, it's 12 signs of intelligence so lighter eyes are only a fragment of the whole picture. Brown/black eyed in asian maybe hold them back on IQ by varying amounts. I don't even have blue eyes, I'm green/hazel. Also don't forget that in China they abort deformed kids and abort females, I'm sure autistic children for example are abandoned as well. A lot of these practices are simply accepted in their culture. This would directly skew the rates of IQ in those countries. In the West we take care of our disabled.

I have seen most of the studies mentioned here, where? At the statistics class in university. They are given as examples for bad designed studies! Where the researchers just try to correlate two parameters without taking into account the confounding variables and doing proper random sampling. Take the blue eye study for example, blue eye is much more common in Americans of general European descent who mostly compose the upper classes compared to Hispanics and Blacks and thus they are better fed, access to proper health care and get better education and so they have naturally higher IQ in tests.

Now that is finally a good comment, while i didnt search for the exact source of this studies so i cant say if these are poorly made but such a brought subject as eye color is often a bad indicator to make a statement about anything of a human like their IQ social skills etc. so i can imagine that you are right about it being a poorly made study not taking into consideration really important factors. You should also remember that IQ is associated to the educational and social environment, your "natural" IQ can be level up or down based on habits. In some studies the blue eyes and tall IQ facts are tied up to the average educational levels that each country might have which is tied up with how wealth a country is. Though clever people tend to be more successful in their own environment vs the average.

5:32 Well, in my opinion and experience, developing the skill required for a physical activity such as a Sport, or playing an instrument, or doing general physical tasks, DOES demand patience and constant mental stimulation. In sports, the mental part is just as important as the physical part, specially for understanding the physics behind technique, as a concise complement to the physical practice. Same with an instrument, specially percussion because they tend to play many at a time. Same with I don't know, helping repair grandma Alice's askew door frame or aunty Caroline's "faulty" phone, both requiring patience and mental stimulation 'til the results are good. Myths: 1. Being tall, On average men are more taller than women but studies show that IN SOME situations (Sry if this comes out as sexist) women use both sides of their brain while only men use the one or the other, so is this really true? 2. Having blue eyes. Benjamin Franklin had grey eyes, Elon Musk has moss green, Albert Einstein had brown eyes, Isaac Newton had green eyes, NONE have blue eyes. The rarity of your eye color does not matter. 3. Being the oldest, this has been put to rest. They used to believe that being the oldest meant that you were the smartest because you probably had better parenting since you were the first child. This might vary for some people but my parents never changed for me and I'm the youngest in the bunch (I'm 11). I just wanted to clarify this because I don't want anyone being mislead thinking that some parts of their appearance shows your true intelligence, while some do, some do not. Side note: I'm not so sure that your ring finger being taller than your index finger means that you're probably smarter than average, maybe.

Plas iq is the ability to control the factors you can and accept that there are things you can't control. All are born equally smart, the rest is up to you.

What you people are talking about is knowledge not intelligence, older children have indeed more knowledge because they have simply lived a few years longer than their younger siblings. Intelligence is not something that you can change, at least not a lot. You are Born with an unique brain, just like you are Born with a unique face. You can influence your intelligence by taking music lessons or ‘brain training’ but it will not make a big difference

My mom is Asian and has brown eyes and her index finger is longer than the ring finger and she is a former school teacher with nearly a photographic memory and likes friends but is very independent and courageous. She is only 5feet 4inches which is not tall outside of being Asian on average and is the 5th child of 7 siblings. This analysis is more than 70% doesn’t match the profile of a smart person in her case.
