For thai tea, it's original color is a dark orange. Then when you put the milk on top that's how it's a light orange. And the milk also helps settle down all the sugar
@yotakayotaka5 жыл бұрын
Tsukinocos _ I actually go look at the ingredients showing on Thai tea bottle I have in refrigerator, it has no chemical color or whatsoever color added. It’s just tea and sugar! Just add milk (or soy milk for vegan) and it becomes orange color. Now I can relax and continue drink it.

@Simon P yeah man I love Thai tea, iced or hot. I also prefer the jelly base for bubble tea, or getting a light amount of boba, since IMAO, bubble tea always has too many tapioca pearls. I now prefer milk tea, hot, iced, or as a slush! 😋

@Kynteli6 жыл бұрын
Your lactose intolerance might only be a hindrance in some countries. For example, my lactose intolerant friend is able to eat and drink all milk products made in Japan (her discovery of decent non-vegan chocolate was a joy to watch) even if she can't enjoy any milk products (unless they have specifically been made lactose-free) in her home country. You should look into that, if you haven't already! :3

Every tea? Maybe not matcha and other green teas, but most teas if left to boil long enough you will get a dark amber colour. Add milk and it will turn orange. Thai iced tea is basically sweet iced milk tea. Lactose intolerant? There's also Thai black iced tea, so the same recipe just without milk.

My dad used to drink "Yakult" during his childhood. Also I believe taro is purple yam (Also known as ube in the Philippines), and I LOVE taro bubble tea.

Okay...call me a horrible asian, but the only drink I had before from this list was the Yakult. It was super amazing (last time I checked, since the last time I tried it was when I was a kid). I couldn't explain the flavor either, but anyone who hasn't tried it before, NEEDS to try it. Plus, freezing it makes it taste great too ^w^

When I lived in Japan, I loved bikkle. Came in glass bottles. similar to yakult. And pretty much any aloe drink. I was also absolutely enthralled with the seasonal fruit flavored Lipton teas at 7-11.

I lived in London for 20+ years. I can confidently say the slightest unfamiliarity will stop a British from trying out a dish. I once took a friend to a restaurant which had Green Tea ice cream on the menu, his reflex response was why is this 'bizarre' dessert in the menu. My thought was, if you actually go out and broaden your horizons a little more, then you will know Green Tea Ice cream is very common all over Asia. I also remember years ago Sushi wasn't as popular at the time, I was eating some and all these people walking pass thinking, what is this Asian dude doing...eating raw fish...those eyes of ridicule. Now, you see all these Westerners queuing up to buy their box of Sushi at the train station lol
@FujishimaAkiko8 жыл бұрын
I can relate to that! I lived in Sheffield, South Yorkshire for 4 years, and my bloke at the time was very adventurous, but his friends not so much.. lol. When I mentioned an American favourite, "Banana Bread" they couldn't get their mind around the fact that it was more like a cake, than actual bread, and were terrified to try it.. lol! I will never understand why people continue to associate Sushi as meaning raw fish though. Sushi literally means "vinegared rice".. Sashimi (the raw fish) is merely an ingredient that can be added to sushi.. But, Sushi itself is not raw fish. :)
@mikechan56028 жыл бұрын
+Akiko. They must have related the raw fish to Nigiri salmon.

I've had Ramune, but Pocari Sweat and Aquarius are super good as well. I've tried both and they are similar, but many if my friends here in the states think Pocari tastes wierd. Another tea that is popular during the summer in Japan is mugicha. Mugicha is a tea that has a slight coffee taste to it. I didn't like it that much but it seemed everywhere I went during the summer, it was there. I recommend trying those three if anyone is interested.

If you want to get the marble out of the Ramune bottle, you can twist the top clockwise
@weetardedcat21128 жыл бұрын
what really?
@longleggedgoth8 жыл бұрын
That does not work at all. The only way to get it out is to break the top somehow, because the top of the bottle is sealed to the neck of the bottle. Trust me, I've tried to twist it off myself and with the help of another person and it did not work.
@ilovecoffeev8 жыл бұрын
+Kateryna Miller depends on the type, some actually can be twisted off
@longleggedgoth8 жыл бұрын
Umbra True, but the kind they were talking about was the kind you are unable to twist off. Hence him saying he broke the bottle to get the marble out.
@puttputt5248 жыл бұрын
Back in the day you had to return the bottle to the shop, meaning you have to drink it there. Like a soda fountain in the states during prohibition era. When I was in japan there were still places like that (about 20 years ago).

Strawberry Calpico. You guys mentioned Yakult, which is pretty much same as plain Calpico, but it's the difference between fun size and adult size that makes it unique.
