At 37:07 , there is a mistake; Cochineal already existed in the old world before the conquest of the new world. But it was not that same crimson red as mexican cochineal. Pre Colombian exchange vivid red dye was derived from the different cochineal native to the old world. Persian/Armenian cochineal (Porphyrophora hamelii) was native to middle east all the way to Armenia and the shade of red dye derived from it was called "KERMES", which was used extensively in middle eastern to far eastern textile arts. In Europe, Polish cochineal (Porphyrophora polonica L.) had a range all over central Europe and was the most commercially important source of red dye pre Colombian exchange. The dye produced was called "CARMINE" or "Saint John's blood" and was used by religious figures and royalty alike Notably, both types of cochineal in the old world have a history far longer than that if new world cochineal with Armenian cochineal being mentioned all the way back to the 8th Century BC. So with all this in mind, I find it astonishing that the team didn't do their research and due diligence and ended up writing a script that's laughable and ludicrous in it's claim that cochineal red dye was introduced to the old world after the discovery of the Americas.

All these artisans, businesswomen and men are incredible, I'm impressed. That's why even God continue to protect their businesses no matter the disasters and difficulties they face, because they put their heart, love into them and they use ways that don't destroy the nature or humanity at all!! Things like these inspire me! It's better to do something meaningful not only to your life but to the life of others. No matter which business you do always make sure you are serving people right and you are not destroying their lives while using your products and you are not cheating them taking a lot for something that doesn't have value or something that will kill them. If you do it that way, God will always provide for you.

These amazing women are doing what they do with passion & skill! There are women all around the world who do the same at whatever they do - because the pride they feel of their accomplishments are highly esteemed by family, friends, & customers!! Also, Mexico & Guatemala have many of the exact weaving & culinary traditions because Guatemala’s territory once encompassed & ruled over the lower part of Mexico. Therefore, there’s no difference in many of their cultural traditions, but the Media only tends to profile Mexico, that’s a big error!!
