+THE GEEK CLUB Well, it does have a LOT of detail, and, being an animator, you kinda get a lot of time in an animation no matter what.

I wouldn't find it helpful, as it may just crush dreams more, but I think that just trying your best, it is fast to make an animation.

This looked like you gave it your all for 12 hours and you merely had 1 minute of animation. People who make weekly cartoons must work their asses off :O Though I think they have a team where the animations/sounds/colloring are done by others.
@KaPika7359 жыл бұрын
Animating takes a really long time and a lot of knowledge in the software your using and the unique features in what you're animating. Some people have teams that help them with theit animation (like simon's cat) and even they take 3 months to make a single episode.... so this was amazingly fast and well done
@soulextracter9 жыл бұрын
KaPika735 I think I see why the industry took the path of 3D, it's much faster when you don't have to redraw things all the time. Even though Flash is very powerful, it's not as effective as 3D animation can be. Too bad that the modern 3D animation is so cheeply done that it looks like crap compared to 90s 2D stuff :P
@Matthimeo9 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but cartoons are not made in the weeks in between, the "next" season is made during the runtime of those episodes and the downtime they have between seasons. The exception to this rule would be shows like South Park, which have an animation style that lets them be made in a week so they can make fun of current events. Also the 3d you see on kids shows could be better usually but is limited by budget, a lot of the steps that make big budget 3d look good is skipped in cartoons.

That was amazing, no joke. I loved how you had your mood, food eaten, and current task. I felt like, even though I wasn't watching the stream and it was 60 times faster than real life, I was connected to you while you were animating. I can't imagine getting to a point where I can do something like that for *apprehensively says next word* "fun". Haha the most artistic thing I do is make music; otherwise, I'm a math major, who enjoys philosophy and critical thinking, not art. Haha I feel like I'm OK at art, but I had a teacher in middle school that killed my motivation to pursue it as anything more than an occasional hobby. She was actually really mean and on the one piece of art I'm still proud of, 7 years later, she made me stop working on it because she didn't want to stay after school anymore to watch me work on it. Grr. *end rant*

Wow, this is really inspiring. I've been experimenting with various art styles recently (particularly with background art), and I decidedly really liked the combination of simple shapes, no outlines, and lots of radial and linear gradients for natural scenic shading. I didn't get to watch much of your stream, but it's totally awesome to see a very similar art style to the one I've been using recently utilized by an artist/animator that I admire so highly. Makes me think I might be going in the right direction. Keep up the good work, and I'll keep watching it. :)
