Awesome video, my mother had a Maytag like this one, She had it for 52 years. The only issue was she had to change belts every so often. She also had a Lady Kenmore which also was a workhorse and I ended up with that and I finally retired it 3 years ago because I could no longer get parts and it was a 1961 Thanks for the video.🌈💜

Today's washers are crap, they hardly use water and run for over an hour and call it energy efficiency. How about making the washers like the good old days that actually used water and ran for 20 mins in extra large capacity and your clothes were actually getting washed and cleaned.

Yeah I wish I could come back to the real good stuff too and people are bragging about how fast these new washers spin well they only do that because they don't clean well enough and they know it and they're trying to get the rest of the bad stuff out during the last spin and they definitely don't risk good enough either Southern out washing good or rinsing good so that's why they make them so fast with the spin so really you're not really getting clean clothes

How did you get the machine to agitate for so long? Did you just disconnect the wires for the timer motor?

If a Pittman transmission Maytag looks like it is struggling the belts are loose or its stuffed full.

You should try to get your "HANDS AND TOOLS" on the GE and GE Profile line of washing machines. I would love to see and hear your opinions on them, especially the GFW850SPNRS. I think you would like it and or be impressed. If you reviewed and compared the top load PTW705BPTDG or the GTW845CPNDG to the LG top load machines that would be great too. 🌀

That's pretty funny, but I had a GE filter flow that I put a load in and went to work. I came home 4 hours later and it was still agitating like this. Something must have happened with the timer.
