We don't offer the HD model anymore as the standard has more features now. Center leg, taper adjustment, board return and its more rigid against forward/back stability. You can also mill right down to the ground with the standard. The standard model went through major upgrades recently.

How does this electric motor compare to your Kubota Diesel, Honda and Vanguard Gasoline options? If the power and torque are just as good or even stronger it seems like that would be the way to go for a stationary mill.

I love the electric option. It's got the most torque but we only offer 440v 3 phase. We don't have 220 down here. So you would need to source your own motor in the US/Canada.

How or what is holding log in place?

Big logs can sit on the ground. But you can use bunks with notches. There is not a lot of kick with a swingblade as you're able to section cut.
