@tony sobon I can't stand the new movies either.... it has too much cringe humour that takes you out of the series (like they're trying to copy Marvel movies) can't stand Rey she's a mary sue, hate how they copy and repackage older movies. even the science and logic has gone. the prequels even though they wasn't great they at least were original and recycled nothing, and brought some new concepts and lore to the series that made it better in the long run (kotor games and "legends" probably would never have happened had there been no prequels). screw Disney canon, to me they are just bad fan fiction not true to the series unlike the books and games.

@@Gurtington Him and Yoda without a doubt. They are guardians of the light and every time they got tested by events around the dark side, they always held firm, unlike other lesser Jedi. He wasn't as strong with his force powers perhaps as some of the others in the saga, but he was perhaps the best duelist outside of Yoda and Sidious throughout.

I genuinely think that Vader was equally as strong during the fight with Obi-Wan as he was in his later years. But in different ways. On an application of Force basis, old Vader would surpass young Vader. But in physical combat, I don't think that older Vader would be quite so lucky.

What I loved about Obi-wan that he always trained to raised his skills. Also it is very important that he learned Humility. Obi-wan overcame his cockiness something Anakin never really did.

I actually think this made Obi Wan insecure, his constant irrational dislike of flying seems to reflect this. I actually believe this emotional repression is a weakness in jedi training Anakin's cockiness was the result of being exposed to jedi training at a late age. He had already begun to develop an independent personality, and thus didn't take too well to brainwashing (which is exactly what jedi training is, that's why they train them so young)

Obi-wan Kenobi in my view is the Quintessential Jedi. Whenever the name is mentioned, I'll always think of him. I'll never forget reading the Jedi Apprentice novels.They'd showed me the man and how he eventually grew up to be. The prequels do irk me in the sense that TPM and ATC really didn't showcase this growth. It is this reason why I want an Obi-wan anthology film. This character played such a vital role in the mythos. To me, he's a character who should have been the focus in the prequels as Obi-wan is the merlin of Star Wars.

In the prequels he's a male Mary Sue, and his fans don't seem to realize that my making him out to be perfect they're just making into a less realistic and relatable character, and even more of a Gary Stu. I saw a video here on youtube that explained that Obi Wan kept Jin's lightsaber and even considered using it as his own but decided to build a replacement, instead. There is a statue of nomad Obi Wan on Tatooine that shows his and Jin's lightsaber. It is also rumored that Luke got his green lightsaber crystal from Jin's lightsaber since he built his second lightsaber with the designs that he found in Obi Wan's hut

The counsel had "doubts and fears." Something they aren't supposed to do. Had they trained Anakin correctly and supported him. He wouldn't have turned on them. Yoda isn't nearly as wise as he seems if I'm smarter than he is.

He may have been man of color but not a black man. It's more people of color other than black people. Physically he would look closer to a brown skin middle eastern man or who can sometimes look like favor light skin blacks depending on what's in their genetic make up. Even in his glory from it said his hair was white like wool. Wool is sheep's hair & while it is white even if it said his hair was like wool that would mean curly not nappy which of course nappy is curly but more course & dry. The clone wars series is between episode 2 and 3 so anakin and padme were already married. The guide is talking about luke and leia as it is a vision of the future and yoda will use the exact same words as he states them to luke before he dies.

I didnt know much of Obi-Wan's back story, but I did figure that he was arrogant and maybe a slight troublemaker when he was young. I don't know about anyone else, but when I was a kid, Obi-Wan was kind of secondary. It wasn't until Ewan McGregor's performance in the prequels that I gained a lot more respect for Obi-Wan. Ewan McGregor has added so much to this iconic character, and I hope when they make an Obi-Wan anthology, they make it not only fitting of the character, but worthy of the man who plays it. I am happy to hear Disney will make a Qui-Gon anthology. Even though he's only in one film, he is my favorite Jedi. My only hope is that it's not some random story. I would like them to do a Qui-Gon trilogy that tells of how he met Obi-Wan and follows their time together as Master and Padwan, ending about a year or so before the events of The Phantom Menace.
