I love your commentary LOL. And very useful info. I have also heard Earth Earthgirl Goblincore Mosscore thriftcore, Cottagecore Punk. So many things overlap as you said. I am finding myself spending so much time now in my listing with the keyword situation that I think Im going to make up some pre-set keyword combos to just paste at the bottom of my description (Poshmark specific) can only fit in so many for the title obviously, like for Ebay. I've actually seen this before on listings I was looking at. Not all the keywords fit every time but could work if putting an outfit together, plus the more words you put the less people will read ha ha! So I am not worried about someone saying, this isn't grunge or this isnt cottage core. Those keywords are only for search really IMO not as much for an actual description of the item. It's just gotten so hard to sell the everyday easy to find things especially contemporary clothing that we have to stand out somehow. Plus, I don't want to miss out in search when someone wants something to go with a certain aesthetic but doesn't really care about the brand. Sorry for the long post!

Hey Love! Thanks for sharing this! I think with some of the cores, we have to see what movies or celebs they are associated with. like with the witchy photos, those are straight out of Practical Magic The Craft and Harry Potter. Also the Whimsigoth is more like what you first thought it was, but the poster's photos you showed were more of a soft grunge, Seattle 90s vibe interpretation. Where did you find your core references. They are vastly different from what I've researched. They all seem to have the same earthy vibe, no matter the core. The Fairycore you pulled up was very dark, more of a Renfaircore, which is based off of Renaissance Festivals. Traditional Fairycore is much lighter, chiffon and sparkle. The Cottagecore interpretation was wild. Take a look at Shabby Chic style and Love Shack Fancy, that are the epitome of Cottagecore. So everyone has their own interpretation of what different cores represent. That's why I use as many cores and key words for styles, that can apply. The trick is to find the cultural reference and explore what makes the vibe, then you can understand it. Makes style based sourcing much easier.

Hello! Thank you. I feel the best way to continue to make sells are to pick up desirable items and list consistently. That’s a hard question because it’s different for everyone. In my case, my daily sales goal is $200 minimum a day/ so I list 100 items a week that sell for $20+ but I also have almost 2K listings.
