We've recently bought a second air fryer because they're so good and I just found your video. Recently I've been put off making meals that use the main oven for a long time because of the increasing energy costs, but now I'm going to be making my fave again... Yorkshire puds!!

If you haven't got any scales to weigh the ingredients, all you need to remember equal quantities, ½ cup of white flour ½cup milk and 2 eggs , this will make 6-8 Yorkshire pudding

Thats brilliant !! I've got a little airfryer, convection oven, roaster, dehydrator etc all in one, which I love to bits. And I'm gonna love it even more once I have made your yorkshire pud in it. Now for a yummy gravy recipe. I'm from South Africa but the ancestors are all British and Irish - give me a yummy stew and a crispy sourdough loaf any day and a Toad in the Hole with mash potatoe is my idea of heaven 🤩🤩😋 Thanks for sharing your recipe

You can pause the cooking by simply opening the drawer to look and see how the food is progressing, afterwards simply close the drawer and the cooking will continue. It is quite common to check the progress at least once or twice during the given cooking time. Times can then be adjusted depending on many factors.
@tiffcat1100
@tiffcat1100 Жыл бұрын
Opening too soon might cause the batter to deflate?
@pamm2230
@pamm2230 Жыл бұрын
@@tiffcat1100 Ahh yes for this recipe, but I was talking about other situations where you simply pull open the drawer to check the progress. For this pudding, cakes etc you would wait until towards the end of the cooking time just the same as using a regular oven. Many factors affect the cooking temps and times needed.

I'm confused as experts say never put anything liquid into air fryers as it can be sucked up by the fan that pushes the air round and ruin air fryer.
@Grizzly-UK
@Grizzly-UK Жыл бұрын
I can only imagine this would be if you put a deep dish in filled with some sort of liquid which would be close to the heating element and fan and I could possibly see that happening when the fan is blowing that close to any liquid, the fan blows over the heating element and around the air fryer it doesn't suck up. In general air fryers aren't really meant for wet foods like casseroles stews etc and best used in conjunction with other kitchen cooking aids like microwaves, slow cookers etc
