Great info Mate. I spend 3-5 months a yr in Bali. I only eat local foods, I do have ice, salads etc never had an issue. I never use the left hand to hand over cash, never walk on offerings , always dress appropriately, & I do spend time on the Gili Islands, Lovina Lombok, Tabanan etc . I spend a few days in Ubud & Legian on each trip..

As Indonesian I can say that your guide/information useful. I have to agree with south Bali, those areas you mentioned are crowded. North Bali is better if you want to experience less touristy aspect of Bali. Sure there are lots of hotels there, but none of them belong to big hotel chain (eg: Hyatt, Hilton, Mercure etc). The price of goods up north is also way cheaper than south. The drawback would be distance. It took 3-4 hours of drive to get to north Bali (Buleleng, Singaraja or Lovina) but on the plus side, you'll be rewarded with nice mountain scenery while driving. And about tap water... If you really have to drink/use it, just make sure to boil it first then it's mostly safe.

I recommend to start from Lovina in north Bali. Way less touristy than south. It's kind of mid ground between purely traditional and modern. Just be prepared for long drive trough mountainous area. It shoulda take 3 or 4 hours to get to Lovina from Denpasar (airport). Avoid driving after 6pm because the road to north Bali is poorly lit or sometime none lighting at all.

Hey, we're planning our honeymoon around the first week of March 2024 and I'd love to know if it's a good time, because I've read that it can get too humid and wet? Secondly, we want to have some activities/cultural experiences but also chill at the beach; we're thinking of visiting Ubud and Uluwatu; are these good places to visit for a less touristy vibe while still experiencing Bali's culture? We're only there for 5-6 days so we plan on picking 2 places.

anywhere in the world wear a helmet even on bikes, cement, rocks and metal is harder than your head. Practice in the morning or quiet area before with your rented scooter....as for food why travel the world to eat crap... the local stuff is fresher, affordable and many vegetarian options.. avoid food washed in tap water..

Hey Ryan, loved watching your videos. Can you help a bit with the itinerary as me n my wife will be in bali with our 2 years old kid. We will be there for 9 nights.
@RyanLeeBanks2 жыл бұрын
Hey I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos! If you’re only in Bali for 9 nights and with kids then I would recommend slower travel. I would probably spend half the time in Uluwatu visiting the most beautiful beaches in Bali and then the other half of the time in Ubud where you can do more cultural activities and see some waterfalls and rice terraces 😁

Hi how are you? I’m about to apply an tourist visa but need one sponsor from Bali . Unfortunately I have no one there . Do you have any idea please? Regards Gani
@RyanLeeBanks2 жыл бұрын
Hey! You don’t need a sponsor for a tourist visa. You only need a sponsor if you want a work visa
@sujaraj63672 жыл бұрын
@@RyanLeeBanks thanks but I have travel document not a an ordinary passport. my application got rejected. the embassy said if you have sponsor from local you can get the visa. I booked the ticket and all now they rejected. I don’t know what to do

This is a very unique position you’re in that I don’t know any information about. You would be best off contacting your immigration services or embassy to get official advice.

Yes, about the language. Based on my experience, mostly tourists from Russia expect that all locals can say perfect English. They're going to give bad reviews about Oh, they can't give me the answer perfectly. LoL..POS
