Your monthly snapshot journey is great and has put me on a hopeful comfortable expectation of achieving the same. Since you are a brown guy it makes it all more relatable. Thanks and great to see you over the months gain that sense of confidence and joy from it. It definitely shows. All handsome now with the air and getting married too. Hi Baber, one thing I’m not understanding is if a person’s hair is very less and almost all hair is lost, how can you have sufficient donor hair to cover up missing areas? Donor areas do not regrow, correct? So, in essence you are moving the hair around to cover up the missing areas on crown and hairline. Don’t the donor areas then look thinned out and patchy? Also, someone else asked that do you have to be dependent on finasteride and minoxidil for life after transplant?

Did you try DermMatch instead of fibers? I think your crown will look totally covered and natural. Yea ur does kind of paint the scalp but you do have hairs so it won’t be noticeable. Give it a try. The pros are more than divers, water resistant for example. So instead of go forward to SMP just try it .
@talhasiddiqui11107 ай бұрын
Amit, after the 18 month mark if your still unhappy go to Turkey and get an SMP treatment around the crown. The crown is tough because the most angles don’t have rows of hair behind them to add density. The SMP will give an illusion of a full crown. Good luck!

I'm going to try to book a consultation with you as soon as i can. I've had 3 transplants here in the United States at 1000 graphs each time so I kind of know what to expect. I want to go to vera clinic, so I have mostly questions of the journey. I do have just one question though. You said you had about 10,000 graphs. From reading online and doing my own research, The donor area can only have 5 to 6000 graphs extracted total without over harvesting. Are you sure they took that many graphs? Also, I want to get all of this done in one trip. Why wouldn't they do the crown and front on one visit. I know other clinics do.
@amitposthair5 ай бұрын
pls do! you can find the link to book some time with me in the video description, happy to have a conversation with you! They say they took 10k grafts from me, but of course there is no real way to tell. I do believe they took a major amount as my hair looks really thick now. Getting it in 1 trip will depend on the amount you have to do, which you can discuss with the doc on the day!

Question - why do you think your first transplant was so much denser than the 2nd one? Although it is 6000g vs 4000g, I think grafts per coverage is about the same but your front is much denser than the crown
@amitposthair6 ай бұрын
first one was done on my hairline and midscalp which are known to have better blood flow for hair growth. Also i still had some hairs in that area so it probably helped with a little density. For my crown, it was completely empty, and blood flow back there is not as much compared to the front, so im guessing thats why the result isnt the same as the first. Also, a total of 3200 grafts were directly on my scalp while the other 800 was added to my hairline and miscalp, so another reason why it may not seem as dense!

Hey man since it’s also been 2 years since your frontal 1st transplant, did you experience a change in texture in the front? My hair was course and slightly wavy which was a nice density texture, but now 2 years later the hair straightened out and is flat just as my natural fine thin hair is. Wondering if you experienced the same? I really miss the extra thickness in the waviness :(
@amitposthair5 ай бұрын
a little bit! i definately think there was nicer density texture for the first year. As time as gone by i do feel maybe its become slightly less, but only because of how hair cycles work. They will generally fall off and new ones will form, so it'll come back over time.

the blood flow in the scalp area is much lower than the hairline and midscalp, hence it takes a little longer for the crown to grow out. I think its best to manage your expectations. Consider taking from the beard if you want to add more density as that usually helps!

I have to be honest here and first off have to give you credit for going through with the transplant it’s massive, and the results to me are around 6/10 this is due to the inconsistency with the frontal hairline that 99% of Turkish Hair transplant centers do a botched job. It’s too evident that there is a transplant and the hairline just looks so unnatural. The skill level isn’t there with the best in the business and you get what you pay for. Overall the coverage is good from what you have come from and I hope you get more coverage and growth.
