The difference between the Golf R and the Audi S3 is the Haldex coding. Have a look using VCDS there is a R setting and an S3 setting and everyone states the R setting has a more aggressive gear change so it’s better for track, the S3 haldex is set up for a more luxurious drive

I think the 7 headlights and rears are better than the 7.5, but the 7.5 wins on most other things especially interior.

I love my mk7 r had it 6 years will never change. My mk7 gti is even better for the 😂 it has the same power 300bhp. 💨💨 I know I need to remap my r but it's a manual and it's a grand just for the clutch before a remap etc. The mk7 golf is the best looking at the minute in my opinion, the mk 8 looks flat from the front, I love the back tho. Enjoy what you got I suppose ❤

Sick video man! So relatable, nothing beats the R. I chose a very high spec 20plate R over m2, FL A45, PFL rs3, FL s3 after test driving all of them. Currently stage 1 and it’s a rocket especially from the lights haha.

I loved my golf r but i feel the cupra is much better for the money, i paid 27 grand for it with 20k miles on it, vs 23 grand for the cupra with 10 miles on it

Never driven the golf r but I got a 2016 cupra 290 and it is a great drive but will love to get a stage 1 tune and dsg tune with an air intake

you said nothing can compare to the golf r in price range for what you get, the car is incredible i love it, but what would you say about the bmw m140i as thats pretty much the same price range not far off, have you had any experience with the m140i or no? ive heard its decent

M140i is a brilliant car and taking nothing away from it, same as the S3, a45, anything in the hot hatch league. In my personal opinion any many others there’s just something about the golf R all round that sets it apart from all the others. From affordability to practicality to sheer performance 💪🏻
