Ducks are ducks, geese are geese, and swans are swans. Though all water birds and often sharing common living spaces, they should not all be called, or regrouped, under the name ducks. I admire your effort but please, please, please check the species related details and descriptions.

I normally don't bother with posting on videos... but... not only are there misrepresentations of duck/name of duck, but misinformation on ability of ownership, as well as mispronunciation of duck names. I can't believe that 68,000 people have watched this video. It would have been better if she had just shown the beauty of the ducks... or had actually researched them to give authentic and truthful information. Misinformation is how folks remain ignorant.

Unfortunately most of the top X whatever videos are poorly thrown together as quick as possible just to get ad views but this is probably the worst I've seen. Edit: Oh, and wood ducks are on the Migratory Bird Treaty Act list so are illegal to own unless you have a special permit if you are in a country that's part of the treaty.

Stupid misleading title. Ducks, geese and swans are obviously from the same family of water fowls but that’s where their similarities end. They are more like cousins with distinctly different body structures mainly, the number of bones in their necks.

Beautiful ducks, all of them. The Mandarin Duck is clearly the number 1 duck for its shear bloomage! I will note that this video _only_ shows Northern Hemisphere ducks. As far as swans are concerned, the Black Australian swan is also striking.

There are multiple species of swans and swans are also not ducks, nor are geese. They are all waterfowl. They are separated into groups based on physical features. So having the number one duck as a swan is like having a wolf as the prettiest dog.

Living in the PNW my favorite has always been the Mallard Duck. I get to see them around the area fairly frequently. Someday I'd like to convert my backyard I to a place that I could house some mallards safely and have them happy. That would be really cool. 🦆
