The best videos are ones that talk about one thing and show footage and images of another thing. Like this one, showing random stills and footage a camaro while talking about a very specific Corvette.

I was heading to comments to day what is the deal? Cant you tell the difference between a Corvette front end and a first gen Camaro? I can also tell the difference in the rear ends as in my youth, I spent a lot of time push starting my buddies Camaro.

'49? It looks more a '39? A 180? They kept this styling on the senior cars & bet the ranch on the Clipper cars. There are a lot of stories on how the 160/180 tooling was lost, but they didn't come back after the War, condemning Packard Motor to try & slug it out in the ultra competitive middle price field-Lincoln Cosmo, Olds, Buick DeSoto/Chrysler Hudson, Nash &c.

It is a 1941 and was owned by Smoky Mountain Tours Company in Asheville, North Carolina. My father drove it into the mid 1950's when it was sold to an orphanage here in Asheville. Eventually ended up in Indiana, was auctioned off at the Auburn auction and is currently under restoration in Laasdorf ,Germany by ChromeCars DE.

I heard about a Jaguar back in the late 80s in a barn for 1000 dollars. I went to look and the woman said her husband had gotten it running about 20 years before , drove it awhile got sick and died and it had been there since , I was really excited until we went to look at it and the body had been rusted through with pin holes. I don't think it would have survived a washing

The six door packard converted bus, or one of them was used in Victoria Australia in the late 30’s by the Reg Ansett company, taking passengers from Maryborough to Ballarat to catch trains to Melbourne. Maybe to Bendigo as well. Very interesting, bet the original bus is still somewhere in central Victoria, worth plenty if found.

4:55 "few practical uses"?? How about the use for which its modifications were obviously intended; hauling people around in space and elegance, if not, by today's standards, luxury? With a big enough budget for proper maintenance , it would be great for weddings, funerals, parties, business events, tours, etc. , as long as the passengers were gentle enough to treat it with respect. On the other hand, it also makes a cool museum piece.

i had two tracion avant and were in perfect shape a black and a bordeux, dupond & dupond made them famous but the model ,i don´t remenber now isn´t tracion avant but is known by that name because it was the first car with front traction ,very confortable compared to a lot of new cars ,but even the poorest citroen ami is boat like on any road ,one doesn´t feel if the road is perfect or old always confortable and also had the ds 19 to the 22 and some GS´s and CX´x but the last i purchase was a Xantia from 96 in mint condition for 1000€ (some friends ofered me 3 other xantia´s)and uses the same system as the others i refer more recent only the problem of driving at high speeds wasn´t good for the drivers that didn´t felt the road but good for any road and solved in 94 no longer a problem in 96 but the XM is la creme de la creme it felt like a spaceship when new and the first time i drove it was at night very drunk and i can assure you that it started to lift off when i started it ,and already looked like a spaceship when at night i turn on the lights ,Citröens are all museum cars even the 2cv that is impossible to make it turn over it self ,once at high-speed 90 km/h, i made a 90 degrees turn and i felt like being almost near the tar but it stayed in a second in it´s right position

Just a thought: At 2:21, the woman looks like Lauren Bacall, the driver although cannot be clearly distinguished may be Humphrey Bogart, wearing a skipper's ball cap with emblem, as he was known for sailing and having boats (i.e. the "Santana" which was his boat in real life that was used in the movie "To Have and have Not", co-staring his soon to be wide Lauren Bacall, but I digress). Finally, the little boy looks to be his son Stevie and IF one were to search Steve's earlier photos as a boy, this lad looks amazingly like him. Once again, just a thought.

I have noticed on several of your videos, you do not show the actual item you are talking about. Case in point for THIS particular video, the section about the Corvette showed several other cars - while saying "this" car such and such, or "this" car this and that - and it was clearly not even a Chevrolet, much less a Corvette. PLEASE show the pics of what you are actually talking about. That's the entire reason why these types of videos get watched in the first place.

If you watch the car auctions it's clear that Corvettes and Mercedes Benz cars do not retain much resale value. Unless you've got a special one, like one with a 427 or something, they go for cheap at the auctions. I've seen them go for as little as $6,000.

The original cost of a vehicle doesn't determine whether a car survives; the very cheap to the very expensive all end up junked eventually. But people put away cars for various reasons, from sensible to crazy. Some literally store a newly-bought car just to keep it untouched; in other situations, the owner of a new car dies suddenly and the survivors keep it as a memorial. And even cars in excellent original or restored condition will sometimes be put away and then allowed to be destroyed by deterioration and neglect.
