All the highlights! Glad you emphasized Santa Croce. Uffizi is my favorite museum in world and sunset and views from Piazza Michelangelo are a must! As always, gelato. The one under the Uffizi on the Arno is my favorite.

Another great video Elyssa a brilliant first timers guide to Florence. We have followed your super 12 and can recommend everyone who is lucky and going to Visit Florence for the first time to follow your fantastic suggestions. If we can offer a tip on going to view the sunset from Piazzale Michelangelo, get a takeaway pizza and eat it with everyone else as the sun sets, it is wonderful. Thanks to you Elyssa and Alessandro for another great year of tips and advice, Buon Natale

I love that you showed different churches, not the typical and busy ones. Also you mentioned the other mercado too . I'm planning our second trip for October I will definitely add more than fee of the places you mentioned and the pharmacy... Wow! That's amazing! Thank you that great tip.

Florence is my favorite city in the whole wide world! Absolutely love each attraction that you have included on this video, and learned a few places we haven't seen yet. Totally agree that both the Bargello and the Duomo Museum are must sees, along with the Medici Chapels and Santa Croce. We are scheduled to be back in Florence in May and are excited to hear that the Vasari Corridor has just reopened. From what I can tell, tickets are only available as part of a package into the Uffizi. Would love to hear your insights and any suggestions you might have. Happy Holidays!

Duomo Museum was a big find for us last visit. No line, few people inside, wonderful original baptistry doors. On my first visit to Florence 55 years ago, I was amazed by Santa Croce

Thanks for mentioning that the Iris garden is only open in May. I planted 35 different varieties at my new house last year, so I am looking forward to it next time I visit

Flying into Rome and spending five days there, training to Florence and enjoying five days there. Love your videos, and thanks for the wonderful tips. Any tips for a tour guide to take us out of the city on a day trip, and suggestions? We arrive in early April. Thanks.

The Medici chapels is the most beautiful architectural space in the world and I'm not exaggerating.I would add to the list Massacio's crucifixion, one of the most influential paintings in art history, and the convent with Fra Angelico's frescoes
