The snow has melted and the sign from the previous season has reemerged and we are out scouting public land in Michigan looking for new spots to pursue those elusive mature bucks. In this video we show some of the things we look for to find spots that we thing will be productive during the following season and hopefully produce a mature buck.

Another classic by the master! You talk a lot about all day hunts. I would really like to hear you breakdown all the logistics to an all day hang. Everything from comfort, eating, hydration, to relieving yourself(lol, seriously) Thanks so much for passing on your knowledge. Looking forward to the next one!

I would love to see a video on how you ask people to hunt on their land when meeting them for the first time. I would also like to see a video on what you would do if you didn't have the scent lock clothes

Absolutely love these videos, I hope you continue doing these types of scouting videos in the future. Most serious hunters would be willing to pay to walk along on a scouting trip with a hunter like John and pick his brain on how he would hunt an area. Incredibly valuable information!

This is an awesome video, and I wish there were more made by people as knowledgeable as "The Eberharts". I learn a lot every time I watch your channel. This one was no exception!!!! Having said that, I think there is a timing issue with this video. This would be AWESOME content for posting the THU after Jan 1st or whenever season ends. It would be a call yo action for those following the "year round approach to hunting deer". Maybe even a series running the whole postseason would be awesome. Perhaps a nice one now to share would be an "in-season tour" or one of those "speed tours" for checking food sources right before or after season opens. Other than that, the content has been very timely so far, concentrating on gear reviews. Another suggestion for in-season content: if you guys could do a few "post-hunt analyses" from the home office, using on-x and replaying tracks, adding a few pictures, short videos, etc, with voice added from the studio, that would be SO valuable for many of your followers. This would not require a lot of filming efforts while on the field or even a camera person, just set the tracking option on onX to get the track, then sit in your studio and record the main video using screen share of earth or onX to show why you chose the place that day and how you accessed it, etc, etc. And maybe add a few illustrative pics from the stand. It's not the kill shots that make good unique content (there is a zillion of those), but the sharing of your wisdom and your thought process that make you guys unique. I know, I know, it's SO easy to program content watching a youtube channel and VERY hard to program it when producing a youtube channel. Anyways, I wanted to offer my admiration, some constructive criticism and some suggestions. Thank you!

I'm bow hunting my favorite public land and I'm seeing no sign at all. Walked down a sandy muddy road for one mile and no tracks. This is been my go to spot for many years and was wondering if you have expierianced this before? I live and hunt in Florida and I'm feeling concerned. Love the channel, thanks.....

I was just thinking a similar thing; being concerned about noise and going in early in the dark when it's harder to see to avoid breaking sticks and such... How does one get to that spot quietly without letting the whole herd know you're there (wind cover?)
