John, consider that many of these stands may be rifle only, if not opening weekend only rifle hunters. Also, the 2 stands facing one another, one may have been a memorial.

That guy in the Coupe De Gras blind what a Bozo! Hard to believe the differences in hunters and hunting styles. I feel sorry for them. I guess they gotta bring the subdivisions into the woods with them.

I use cotton skull caps under my scent lock head gear. I always treat them in my ozonics bag. I have multiple ones and it’s one and done and they go in the wash. I also keep my hair very short in hunting season.

Congratulations on the buck. That's awesome once in a lifetime experience. I bought Jon Eberhart DVDS and one of his books, and they all delivered good tactics and strategies for sure. My question is, is he getting all these knocking door permissions because he's a celebrity (he has DVDS and BOOKS) hunter ? The ability to get permission to hunt on private is very difficult task for anyone. I also recognize that hunting private for free might also have high hunting pressure. There has to be a reason John Eberhart hunts less public land and more private land. It appears to me he hunts public maybe 30% of the time. For the record, John Eberhart has killed big bucks on public land in Michigan very difficult for anyone. In my opinion, there are different levels to bowhunting. Hunting public land is just more difficult the majority of the time. I believe most reasonable hunters can agree on that. The only reason why I bring this topic because in the past John Eberhart criticize other popular public land hunters on KZbin podcasts For spending a most of there time hunting easier states like Iowa KANSAS Nebraska and so on. In their defense, at least there time hunting public land. For the record , Jon Eberhart has also hunted private land for free in Iowa and Kansas. This is not a one-time thing. If he didn't criticize them ( ask me and will give you names ) I wouldn't have brought this topic it up. Plus, he didn't mention this several time's on different podcasts.

To clarify, when I get permission, the landowners typically don't hunt and have no clue who I am. If they hunted, they certainly would give others permission. In Kansas the farmers don't give a crap about following KZbin or hunting personalities, they have plenty to do and simply don't care. Many times over the past 5o plus years my free permission has come from asking gas station attendants, county clerks, people in bars when eating lunch, people in sporting goods stores, and basically I just act friendly because you never know who may have property, know a friend that does, or have a relative that does and the friendlier you are to everyone, the more likely that sometimes it will lead to getting permission. Also lose permission when a big animal is killed because then all their relatives and friends want to hunt. In many states the public and walk on properties are every bit as good as most private that isn't managed.

@johneberhart4062 Here's my issue that I have with you. I listened to a lot of your PODCASTS on KZbin, and you criticized popular public land hunters who only hunt easy states like Iowa Kansas Nebraska and don't film their hunts in Michigan or Pennsylvania. My issue is that you don't even hunt public land in those states and are ready to criticize popular public land hunters that do public land in those states. I feel it is very misleading at best. You only HUNTING private land that you get permission. Hunting private land is the majority of time a lot easier. Otherwise, why does anyone choose to hunt private with free permission? The answer it is generally less difficult and nothing wrong with that for the record, I just do not like the hypocrisy.
