Great video. I agree with you. I had a 600r for years that I made street legal hear in Az. Now I ride Harley road glide, africa twin, and 450rl. I'm itching for another cabo run. Probably on the at again

Nice video and commentary. I agree with you on dualsport and adventure bikes. I am impressed on how well you know the Vegas outback trails! You should organize day trips for fellow riders, I would sign up for a Fall ride! Thanks Rodney!

Ridden and enjoyed both, dual sports make more sense if you're mostly riding dirt and not covering huge distances, ADV bikes make more sense if you're actually doing serious milages. At this point I prefer ADV bikes for on/off road riding because most of the off road riding around me is either gravel roads or gnarly single track and I don't like riding gnarly single track on a dual sport anyways because I'm much more nervous about pushing my riding when I rode a decent distance on the road to get to the trail and if my bike breaks I'm screwed. I'm fortunate enough to have trails in my backyard and a top notch enduro trail system right near me and that's where I like to push my offroading skills because if something goes wrong I'm withing walking distance of my house or truck and other people who can help me. I've had a few dual sport adventures where I've almost stranded myself deep in the woods because my 400 EXC is just and enduro bike with lights and a plate so it eats up gnarly trails. I love the comfort on the road of an ADV bike and the less maintenance intervals, especially since I have a BMW r1200gs so it's air cooled, shaft drive, and has a way bigger oil capacity/change interval than the 400. The GS could also do all the offroad you did in the video with the right tires, the main issue is the weight and clearence on like tight technical enduro trails which I wouldn't really wanna do on a dual sport loaded with camping gear anyways. So yeah if you ride mostly dirt and have lots of offroading areas around you that you wanna connect together a dual sport makes more sense, if you wanna do motorcycle touring and be more comfortable on the street/long distances and hit some dirt roads in-between an ADV bike makes more sense.

Considering getting one for Vietnam. Especially useful here! And it's very rare that it's safe to drive beyond 60 kph (technically the limit is 50 even on a three lane highway for bikes!)

Have you had anymore issues out of the new fuel pump?
