When we lived in military quarters we were not allowed to paint or wallpaper. What we did do to add design or color to a wall was take lengths of cloth, soak it in liquid starch and smooth on the wall. When we were transferred, we just peeled it off the wall and washed the walls down. We washed the material and used it again in our next set of quarters or for crafts.
@mscalucas4 жыл бұрын
Never heard of this - sounds cool. And it doesn't damage the painted wall? It doesn't seem like you could do this on a wall painted with flat paint.

I'm actually an apartment complex manager, so anytime they are 'upgrading' a unit, but not going tacky, I'm ok with it. The owner is pretty flexible on that. (Thank goodness) I actually recently just started this position and working on 'cleaning' the place up. (Better tenants, painting, cleaning up junk) So these ideas are actually amazing. I'm all for tenants doing any of these things. So I definitely recommend people talking to their landlord or property manager. ❤

Due to his being on both an oxygen machine and a CPAP, I moved into a bedroom across the hall from him. Now that my daughter and grandson have moved into their own place, my husband and I will each have our own offices, too. I also will have the “guest” bathroom. Peel and stick eventually gets tacky underneath. So when u remove them they leave stickiness and u will have to remove with rubbing alcohol. And then u will want to make sure to not ruin the paint.

Goo-away (or any good adhesive remover) also works well to take the adhesive off, but not damage the paint. (I'd just do a small test in an unobtrusive corner, just to double check!) Dollar tree also has several peel and stick floor/wall tiles. The only possible drawback is that they don't always have them in store. And when you order online you have to buy a minimum of a case, which has 50 in it, but they can be shipped directly to your home. But at a dollar each, that's still a greatl deal! They're usually 12×12 or 12.5×12.74 depending on the style.

Hi what about creating an 'art gallery' on your kitchen fridge you can get cool magnetic picture frames to put on top of their artwork ....or if you are not into that look, another cool idea is to pick up a range of old picture frames with the backs removed so you can see through them, and spray paint them nice colours. These can be stuck to windows using blu tac and the art work stuck to the window inside tge frame...hope this makes sense. We do this at my preschool for the children's artwork and it looks great.

Just go with art they help create and maybe they won’t accidentally ruin it. Or go with something cheap and easy to replace (and no glass) so if there is any accident it’s a simple cheap fix. :)
