Also, if I've NOT played a particular fame before, is there time during the game acceptable for me to ask a question to LEARN more about what I can or cannot do? I unfortunately make MANY mistakes, however: I try to not make the same mistake the same way twice.

I kind of have that as an addendum to rule 1 Be accurate with who you are bringing. Having more or less players than I expected really messes with the games I have on tap. It’s not fun having someone stand over your shoulder while you game. At least it’s more fun when I can pick a game that will include everyone. With children it’s even more important because I’ll need to pick games that I can easily explain to them and they can get into.

Love this! What about bathroom break are to be taken immediately after your turn. And when you return, don't ask if you're up. The blank look on all our faces as we stare at you entering a room should convey that we are all waiting on you!

It's acceptable to bow out of some games because you need the toilet. If you can't go between games or before you left the house that's the best approach IMO rather than forcing everyone to wait for you which is awkward for everyone.

Which then there are the groups of people who will interrupt and or check out in the middle of the explanation and then later go "so whats the objective of the game again" which the typical response is "to score points" which i then get hit with "but how do we get points" i then proceed to list off the 3 or so ways you can score/get points and then i get "yeah but how do we do those things" just ends up with them beating around the bush about how they werent listening or that for some reason "collecting resources to do this or that" is a difficult concept despite the fact that we have played several resource management games before

The DM/GM never pays/make their food. Our group does pot luck and whomever is hosting the game never has to pay or make their own meals. We all pitch in with clean up after. Also if they have pets, respect their pets. If the pet doesn't want to be touched, don't mess with them.

"Rule 11: Hurry Up" ... More people need to abide by this rule. While I don't want to stress anyone in a critical moment, I never want to hear "Oh what it's my turn?" or see someone reading through their entire spell list while everyone else is waiting for them to decide on an action. You had every other player's turn to plan yours, if you don't want to pay attention enough to plan, just cast a cantrip and move on! Honestly, exaggerated character aside, this list has a lot of good points... 😆 And gotta love Adam busting out those acting chops at the end there!

This is my very first video of yours and these rules are so lightweight. I've dealt with so many pricks who have absolutely no table honour. Like even: dice honour, card honour, miniature honour, food/drink honour, and game masters who are so totally inconsiderate that they don't just ruin a system for new people but TTRPGs, period. I've dealt with rules b actually comforting me while playing with certain other people. I've also dealt with them interfering with friendly games wanting to impose tournament rules that they've only seen like no lending of game materials to assist others in need.
