How to understand men better? Do men care about their diets? Is it true that they worry about their relationships? Is it even possible that men can have secrets? Men try to look as “brutal”, strong and decisive as can be, yet they also have their concerns, worries, and secret fears. Let’s take a look at 12 things that actually worry most men no matter how strongly they might deny it.

SUMMARY
-Men try to look better so that they can compete with other men. And the worst fear is somebody mentioning their beer belly.
-Money is one of the most popular things that keep men awake at night.
-Size doesn’t matter unless it’s about the size of your heart, no matter how cheesy this might sound.
-Once you make your man more confident, you will see that the sex will get much better as well.
-When men are jealous, it’s not usually as obvious as when women are.
-Men really worry about your family’s attitude to you, because they can easily influence you.
-Men always try to look like more experienced lovers than they really are.
-The worst thing that can happen to a guy is becoming bald, especially for men that used to have long hair.
-Men also care about their bodies, about their health and the foods they eat. It’s just that they talk about this way less often.
-Guys are supposed to be «brutal», but in fact they want everything to be okay in a relationship just as much as girls do.
-If a woman has more partners than a man before they met, he might feel the necessity to compete with them.
-Men are scared of showing their true emotions. If you accidentally see your boyfriend crying, pretend, if possible that you didn’t notice anything.

Might be true. But why always that "it's just the society we have today"? This phrase is so annoying. As if in the past looks didn't matter. Of course they did! Just sometimes the women couldn't even chose who to be with or had to take the first somehow ok man. So maybe this made them be with guys who they were not attracted to physically.

@syntax8025
@syntax8025 6 жыл бұрын
Sean Brogan Most likely. The self harm rate is higher for girls in the UK, but the male suicide rate is higher than the female suicide rate. It may be that males are less likely to share the fact they do self harm, and this leads up to a greater build up emotion leading to worse effects.

I love it when men show their emotions :) I don't care if they hold it in when their in public. I get it. Women do that too. No one want to be embarrassed... But, I hate it when men hide it in front of the person they are in a relationship with :( Remember! If you cry in front of a woman and she tells you to "man up" then SHE IS NOT FOR YOU! CRYING IS NORMAL! NO ONE CAN CONTROL IT! *IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU'RE WEAK!*

Some men may continue to hide their emotions, even when told not to, because it's something they've gotten used to growing up, and changing that would be weird. Say you were stuck in a box since birth (given food, water, etc.), and all of a sudden you were exposed to the general public. You would be petrified by other humans, etc. I'm not trying to sound snobby or anything, I'm just saying that some people are entirely okay with staying in the dark about their emotions.

Exactly. A stereotype is a stereotype for a reason. They don't like stereotypes? Not talking about them doesn't make them go away. Example: A man sells drugs on the corner in L.A. He sells them all the time. So you hear one speaker of sound about it. Pretty soon, this same thing starts happening in Dallas. The exact same thing. Its no longer a monotype thing. It's exactly like it is in L.A. Sounds identical in both places. Like, um, what can we call it? I guess we'll have to call it stereotype. Because it sounds exactly like the other. Not mentioning it doesn't make it go away. Quite the opposite. It allows It to continue. It needs attention. Positive attention. To the point where the negative behavior that created the negative sounding talk about it stops. Then and ONLY then can the "stereotype" go away. Your comment was exactly what I was thinking. BRIGHT SIDE has now been stereotyped.

They are common ideas about a group of people based on RECURRING actual behaviours by that same group of people, so not only can stereotypes be true , the video narrator based this video on the viewer already thinking "men don't show emotion" "men don't worry about things" etc. He used the stereotype itself to say men are a certain way, that is what the comment was referring to

Men are afraid to talk because they are seen as weak and ignored by women and men in contrast to when women talk about their feelings they are helped by both women and men. But when you find those rare girls who actually don't mind you talking about your feelings as man, and don't just say they do, it's awesome. I'm a woman and I know most of these fears men have
@ballerr69
@ballerr69 6 жыл бұрын
I have a few: The fear of failing. Because so many people think guys are great at anything and everything. Guys do fear to fail at certain things in front of people (especially women) The fear of asking out the girl you like. Guys don’t like the feeling of rejection at all, most people don’t. For guys it’s different than for girls, because if a girl was to get rejected by a guy her “girlfriends” would be there to comfort and support her but for guys getting rejected won’t have their friends doing the same unless they were extremely great caring people. The fear of not being enough. So many guys in a relationship constantly fear that they aren’t enough for their partner. This fear sticks in their head and makes them want to try to better themselves to fit what they think their partners criteria is for them. The fear of loss. Guys can obtain so much in their life. A wife (or girlfriend), kids, a great job. This is probably a mans biggest fear depending on who you ask, the fear of losing it all. Men like to have control, it’s a natural part of being a guy. But when they don’t have that control and they lose what they love and worked so hard to keep it puts stress on them mentally and makes them feel as though there is no hope. When a man can have that control in his life where he can keep a job he likes so he can feed his family, he feels as though he rules the world. In my opinion this last one is the biggest fear of most guys.

On #11 I think that a woman should look for a man who is a hard worker, not be a gold digger. I know several girls with a mindset of "It doesn't matter about money". They married guys who flunked out of college, hate working, and made their wives agree to support the family and nurture the kids, so they can watch TV and game. That is a red flag right there! Both partners should be hard workers in a relationship.

I "retired" at 33, ex Head Chef, gas station manager, housekeeper. I have a wife of 21+ years, a kid who is almost a teenager, and I work hard and don't get "paid". Charisse Hopkins My husband is a disabled veteran and draws disability. I met him when he was in the military and worked a job off base. Funny thing is he and I have a age difference (I'm sixteen years younger) and after he got disabled to everyone's shock and horror I stayed by his side. When he was the bread winner I went to college and advanced beyond that. I put my degrees to use and I now make 4X his disability. I worked in the house and took care of the kids before now he takes care of the house. This is my long way of agreeing with you. Sorry for my ramble

The only thing I agree with is that both partners should work hard. I'm a college graduate with a prestigious job that used to pay me more than 4 times the salary of my girlfriend who I live with. I refused to be with someone who barely graduated high school and earned peanuts so I took it upon myself to help my girlfriend re-do some of her high school subjects so she could qualify to study towards a degree. I also took it upon myself to look for a better paying Job for her, coached her for the interview and ultimately helped her land the role. I totally reject the notion that it's Ok for the man to work hard while the woman slacks off expecting a good life for nothing. My girlfriend was never a gold digger but like many women today, she had the gold digger mentality thinking that it's ok for the man to be expected to do more.

I don't exercise for women. I exercise because I always have and will. It allows me to eat what I want and have no aches and pains. Most women I know place build and looks about 3-4 on their list behind confidence, being kind and considerate. The older I get the more emotional I get. I am not happy about that but there is nothing I can do about it.

Now that makes sense. I couldn't believe it when they said that thing about men exercising to impress women... Maybe teenagers. As a woman, I can say that how many muscles someone has is irrelevant, that's probably even lower than 4 on my list.

Did you just say there's no standards brought on by society that say men should have good bodies? Really? So, every movie, TV show, male model, video game, comic book character, toy, etc doesn't show off ripped men with defined jaw lines and abs? As well as pretty much every women sees that as the ideal male body. It's the same for men and women as far as body expectations go.

NOOOOOPE! That last one is a completely justifiable fear. Learning to control your emotions is a useful skill. Learning to bottle up that anger then letting it out in a healthy manner as perfectly rational. I know from personal experience that if you learn to wear your emotions on your sleeves, evil people will twist your emotions into a nothing burger that it actually isn't. I spent my 20's and teenaged years being emotional and it just made it easier for evil people to go "See, there's something wrong with him!" whereas I wouldn't have been such easy prey had I not have done so. Men learned long ago to control your emotions and keep it to yourself because if you don't others will take it as a sign of weakness and seek to destroy you. Better to leave your opposition confused than to give them the key to ruination. The myth is that we bottle it up till we explode which OBVIOUSLY is unhealthy but the truth is the sooner you learn to control your emotions and view the world with a harsh glare that anyone around you is a POTENTIAL threat that you may possibly need to destroy the better you learn to tap into your manly man-ness and become a more protective and stronger individual capable of fighting of evil. Don't bottle up your emotions but don't wear them on your sleeves either lads.

Actually for me, whenever I have negative emotions, I like to hide them. If I show those emotions, and people feel bad for me, that makes me feel way worse. If I hide the emotions and nobody can tell, I see the world around me, and everyone’s going about their business. That convinces my brain that it’s not a big deal, and it’s not the end of the world. That actually cheers me up. Plus, I feel like a badass how I was able to hide the negative emotions so effectively. If I actually showed the negative emotions, I’d feel like a baby, and people would feel bad for me out of empathy. At that point, I’d be surrounded by negativity, and I don’t want that. This might be an extremely bad idea for some people, but it’s a great idea for me. Based on what I’ve heard, if most people tried this, the emotions would linger inside of them until they explode. However, for me they actually disappear and I feel fine.

I agree , I was raised with the whole "boys don't cry" and I think we shouldn't cry , it's a sign of weakness , and all men don't like having weaknesses , because truth is , men are waaaay more competitive than women , so we will always compare ourselves to other men and take glory if we are superior , that superior can come from anything , from intelligence to phisical skill it doesn't matter, most of us feel fulfilled when we are better at something than other men
