Being forever alone is both a blessing and a curse
@json93686 жыл бұрын
You put yourself in that box, if you say your going to be forever alone then you will be forever alone. Some might call it law of attraction but I call it common sense. Instead of saying “if” I find someone say “when” I find someone. Subconsciously you are doing things/saying things that cause you to potentially be single and not by choice. For example being negative on a date equals a girl thinking your insecure which equals no next date or never hearing from her.

It's way better than being heartbroken trust me. Also before walking into a relationship you need to work on your self esteem and learn to be happy even by your own. I was pretty insecure and in that forever alone mindset when I met my ex and that put a strain on the relationship for sure and most importantly is making it so hard for me to move on right now!

1:50 "People who genuinely want to be with you will always show themselves from there best side." What? No, that's totally false. Genuine people are willing to show their bad side in a responsible way and let you decide if they are right for you. People who ONLY show their good side are hiding something and that is surely the sign of a toxic relationship.

To an extent. For example, my senior year of college I was taking 21 hours in addition to my capstone project. When I didn’t have time to spend with my boyfriend he would become extremely upset and angry with me. when I tried to say it wasn’t fair to me, he said he was expressing his honest feelings. I couldn’t afford another semester of college if I didn’t do well enough to graduate, and was struggling to keep up in all my classes. And he thought “expressing his honest feelings” was more important than what I had spent the past four years and thousands of dollars achieving. I can’t find it in me to call that love.

Chantelle Lay me too!!!😩😩😩 ... thats why i stay single.. lol when i see some of these signs on myself with someone im trying to take serious, i take a step back & get out if it. It wouldn’t be fair for the both of us. I also want to be with someone i fully trust so, i don’t have this behavior come out of me. I noticed that a lot of women r like this with their partners; thats because they can’t trust them but still r not willing to let go.. so they make everything complicated on themselves. **reason is because most men cheat but try to hide it & show off they are a good partner.. I see it all the time & that is another reason why im so cautious/scared to just trust any “good man”. I need to work on myself & give a little more trust to some, not all men though haha but, i know theres a few good ones out there..

I think a lot of these ideas are wrong, never try to hide how you really feel, if you want to be with them all the time...then you should be them. If you are with the right person, that is what they will love about you. What other people might find needy or possessive is what some like in a partner, but I know others would hate which is why it's important to be with the right type of person for you. I have been married for just about 10 years now, and I am more in love with my husband today then when we met. We fell in love almost immediately, we wanted to spend every moment together, I moved in with him after a few weeks (which everyone said was a bad idea, but it felt right and i'm glad we did!) He can get jealous when other men flirt, but I like that about him. If you try to go by a playbook on how long to wait to do things, how often to call, how to not seem needy, etc. I dont think you will be as happy in the long run, because you aren't letting out your true emotions and you wont have as much passion
@lilackey6 жыл бұрын

Toxic, emotionally immature human beings don't often display any meaningful signs of self-awareness. This video is for people who aren't toxic to be able to point it out in others. People who haven't developed mechanisms described in this video have to develop them over a long time or, more often than not, never change. Toxic, when u say emotionally immature I would say the list applies to all relationship's( boyfriend vs girlfriend, wife vs husband, brother vs sister/brother, parent vs child). When u also say they must learn skills or not change that is also so true.... I would add if they fail to change then minimize if not eliminate their effect in your life. For a bad partner or family member or friend stop spending more time with them. No one can afford to just walk away but you can withdraw so they don't drag u down as well Everytime you relate day to day. It works...they can only ask why or not even care...either way you tried, you've failed, you're moving on....

Where are they “wrong”? Maintaining your friendships and family relationships? Maintain hobbies you like that support your well being? Maintain healthy boundaries? Spaniard King Everyone needs time alone? I used to think that too because I'm a total introvert, but oddly, the relationship I'm in, we're never alone and my two past relationships I hated that, I felt I'd need my alone time, but now, I love every moment we spend together and he does too; we've talked about it. We share a lot of the same hobbies, so if we want "alone time," for us, that tends to mean doing things together away from other people and if we just need time to "ourselves," we just don't talk and do our hobbies in front of each other. It seems weird, but it's actually really fun. I just don't know if I believe in 100% "alone time" anymore. I know, it's probably just a lucky relationship, not the norm. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like I was just wrong before.

how do you deal with communicating emotionally? i know someone who is fine emotionally in general, but romantically, he's vacant. the problem is all of his friends said he wanted me as his girlfriend,. but he can't verbally or physically tell me. no matter how much i open up and coax him to open up the best i've got was, 'we might as well' as far as being a couple. id like to have more insight in that kind of statement because it made me feel i was wasting my time. if he can't be straight with me about his initial feelings, how can we ever talk about anything that might be important?

Sometimes people don't always listen when you do I know for me I started some years ago to tell people my flaws and "perks" and I do not try to force anyone to accept any part of me. A lot of my flaws I have worked on especially since I have gotten married and I know my flaws could be very bad for a relationship especially marriage

I’ve been with my wife for 18 months. I checked almost everything this video said except we don’t lose our tempers on strangers easily, we didn’t abandon our hobbies, and neither of us drink, smoke or anything like that. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, she is honestly an angel. We have a 3 week old son and we’ve been married for 4 months. In the most genuine way I can say it I never ever get sick of being around her. We’ve never had an argument even though supposedly they’re good for relationships. We agree on almost everything and we spend every second together unless I’m working. And it might just be my perspective that sees it this way but she reassures me it’s mutual. If my relationship is toxic I don’t want a normal one.

This video spits some truth. Number 2 is so true. Sometimes it's easy to be blinded early on and start ignoring or accepting toxic behavior. The truth is that they will treat you like this in the long run. All people are toxic to an extent the thing is what type of potion you create when you're together. Venom or Antidote.

Right these are traits of co dependency not narcissist toxic abuse lol. Usually the co depend is with a narc and acts this way because they bring that out in them. It's not healthy either, but usually when someone acts this way they have gone through trauma or are currently going through a trauma in the relationship. I don't see anything wrong with a someone wondering why you aren't communicating if you just got into the relationship with them..if the other person withdraws and you don't hear from them for days that actually shows you that you are not worthy and they do not value you and take you for granted. Yes people need space, but don't ghost people and make them sit around and wonder why you are not talking to them. This is something I just went through. I came off as needy and co depend, but I just started seeing this guy and we became official so why the heck is he disappearing so soon, not communicating, and keeping his distance. That's what people do when they are comfortable and in a relationship for awhile, not a relationship that just began...so yes my red flags went off. A sign of toxic relationship is gaslighting, lying, someone who never says sorry, and lack of empathy. My ex husband was this person, and I think my current ex lacks empathy and is a manipulator too. I would tell him he is hurting my feelings for ghosting me or for some other things he said to me, and he would never apologize or try to walk in my shoes. He would laugh and say I'm too sensitive and say you're crazy. That's gaslighting, a form of manipulation.Yeah that's gonna cause me to become a little toxic and get angry...I'm not taking this behavior anymore...those are the actual signs of toxicity. This video is more about behaviors of co decency which is in the spectrum of a person who is an Empath. An empath attracts the opposite person, someone who lacks empathy(narc or psycopath) and that person brings out these behaviors of co dependency..

1) When you are not allowed to express your internal feelings in words. 2) If your partner runs away from conflict rather than solve it 3) If trying to connect thru communication with your partner just leaves you frustrated & banging your head against a wall. 4) If your partner treats you one way when others are around and a completely different way when its just the two of you. 5) When everything in the relationship feels one sided 6) If your partner never takes responsibility for their behavior & blames you for the way they act 7) If your partner constantly gives you the silent treatment 8) When nothing you do is ever good enough 9) When your partner constantly promises to stop doing something but makes no actual effort to change 10) If your partner fake sleeps just to avoid you

Girls are often 'empty inside' in that they rarely have hobbies, they often idealize their partner because they want James Bond/ Prince Charming, and being chameleons they adopt their partner's beliefs and interests like a new outfit. Of course outfits do not stay new and few men are James Bond.... so most women are off like a butterfly to their next flower on what seems like a whim, leaving the man devastated, when in reality sound judgment was never really present. This is the reason/basis why females initiate 80% of all divorces.
@CountessLouLou6 жыл бұрын
Menstrel I agree that there are many girls like that but it seems that men are not interested in women with hobbies, interests, or even a personality. They don’t want any quirks- just be docile and good looking. Looks must be approved by his friends and family, and must not do or say anything that might rock the boat. I’m married now, but that’s what I experienced in the past.
@michelleheidler9835 жыл бұрын
Im sorry this has been your experience. Most of the women I know are not like this. Maybe its because I choose to associate with women who have their own identities. It seems so many men go after girls like this just because they are "hot". (Im not saying that's you). My advice is to look for a women and not a little girl who needs a man to validate her.

"People who like you will always try to show themselves from their best side." So, I don't like anyone and other people lie to people they like is what I'm hearing you say. If you want the relationship to work in the long run, hiding the bad parts of you is never good. If I like someone, I'm not gonna try to scare them off intentionally, but I'm not going to hide my personality and flaws from them either. I'm going to be myself, and if they don't like me the way I am then that just means we're not meant to be together because we don't mesh well enough.

If you are part of a toxic relationship after a while your body and intuitive thoughts will tell you to break up with your partner and move on. I am glad I had to stop this kind of relationship and I am better off alone for a period and focus on my hobbies and free time. You have to find a girl with a positive energy to not bring you down and always follow your heart.

My best friend overlooked what I saw in the guys she dated, but the outcome was always the same. Her boyfriends would go as far as to insult me when I called them out on their bs, but I'll never stop looking out for her and will remain by her side,f whether things are looking good or not so great. When we started high school, she was seeing someone in his mid to late twenties, and when she introduced me, I was instantly blown away by how much he spoke for her, instead of letting her have a voice. He visited her unannounced in person when she was of age, and complained when she wouldn't leave her studies to be with him. I told her he made me uneasy, and they broke up when he attempted to lure her to live with him across the country, away from her family.

Signs of a toxic person is when they consistently and rudely interrupt you when you’re speaking. When they treat you differently in private than in public. When they gossip or talk bad about others. When all of their exes are crazy. When they don’t have any friends. When their stories don’t add up. When you ignore your intuition.

Some really useful advice here. Although, telling someone you might be hard to live with could be just giving a very honest heads up, necessary to avoid startling your partner once the going gets tough. Showing only your best side is really questionable advice. Also, I've noticed that different partners can create different levels of trust in the other. If you're feeling paranoid and jealous, it's not only because you are toxic, dependent or inherently insecure, but it's probably also because your partner has done something to make you doubt their honesty, or it can be inferred from something subconsciously. Either way, as hard as it may seem, it's probably good to step out of that relationship. You don't trust your partner (whether they deserve to be trusted or not), and there are probably some kind of reasons preventing you from changing that. I don't think distracting yourself from thoughts about it will save anyone. There are people who won't make you jealous and paranoid, whatever they do, because they are sincere and open with you in a way that is real.
