One happy/sad story from my family: My mom had a bunny when she was a teenager. And she (my mom) got hit and punished by my grandma very often… extremely bad relationship… mom’s bunny started to attack my grandma whenever she came into her room and bit her bloody. My mom said that this bunny was the only one who protected her and rescued her. She had a very deep bonding to her bunny.

The bunny almost sounds a lot like Fred my rabbit. He is scared of my dad because he knows what he can do to him. He is a friendly rabbit. I also have two other rabbits and we are going to fix Fred. They get into trouble by eating the carpet, messing their living place up, and biting people. Otherwise, they all are good pet rabbits when they don't do this. I hope your mom is ok.

my first house bunny was a real angel. I wanted a bunny because i was in the lowest place in my life and needed a company... this bunny recognized if i was about to give up of my self and then she bit me thru the close. I know someone who went through something in life that saw a therapist who recommended a house rabbit to her. I only briefly met her, and don't know the specifics of her situation, only that her rabbit helps her with her anxiety. Having a bun, has helped her significantly. Rabbits have so many qualities that so many people are not aware of.

I can confirm this. My bunny helped me during hard times with mental health, and I think it affected him too at some point, where I was commuting a lot to my workplace, coming home late and being super unhappy in that job, he got really sick for 2 weeks. His health came back stronger than ever after nursing him and I changed for a better job 3 months later. He also helped me deal these past months dealing with chronic pain. My bunny was never a huge cuddler, but I was able to still pet his soft fur and he played with me and looked after me with bunny kisses, and also made me laugh a lot. They make you live in the moment, and help distract you a little from pain and worries. Also they make you responsible, no matter how bad a day was, gotta get up and buy the fresh veggies, which was a nutritional plus for me too to eat more green veggies and salads. Sadly he passed away 2 weeks ago, at the proud age of 10yo, happy and loved with me by his side until the very end, but I really miss him a lot, he was my biggest support. I noticed small objects falling to the floor randomly in my home since his passing, making me think he's still derping around. :')

All I'm taking from this is that my rabbit knows way too much. But remember Mirtillo: mummy knows things about you as well. Things such as the time you were trying to eat my ham sandwich. You're a vegan. Or when you nipped the dog because she dared to smell your pellets and then acted all innocent. Or your secret manoeuvre to climb up my bookcase and munch on my classics. Do you really think you're the only one with power in this relationship? Nu-uh mate. I'm on to you.

The "not looking and take advantage" is very true. My rabbit likes my house altar a lot and always tries to climb on it though I try to warn him. Everytime I turn away, he slowly crawls to the altar and stops whenever I turn back, but when I don't pay attention he quickly jumps on it.

It is always very sad and even tragic to lose a bunny-friend- It is just as difficult and sad as losing any member of your family- However, given the wonderful relationship you had with your best bun- friend, I hope that in time you will open your heart to a different bunny- No two are alike- The next bunny will relate to you wit his/her own personality- It will take time to build the new relationship, but it can be done- That has been my experience-

Buddy Bunny knows I listen to 1980’s New Wave music in 2022. He doesn’t judge. At least I think he doesn’t. Great vid! Buns absolutely know when we are “up to no good”. Like trying to administer oral medication when they get sick, or trying to coax them into the carrier for a trip to the nail trimmer. My Bun guards me when I sleep. Which means he knows that I snore.
@robinloomis22992 жыл бұрын
All absolutely true! Just because rabbits do not talk does not mean that they do not communicate- Our bunny Tony has figured out how to grab a bite of a sandwich or other contraband when I am not paying attention- He plans his strategy and then seizes the moment of my distraction! He is watching me and my husband to calculate just how long it will take for one of us to wander near the fridge- They are kind of like military officers in the field, studying the conditions and the morale of the troops- They analyze and act according to their observations and intuitions-

A few months ago I woke up with my stomach hurting. I didn't think much of it, but went to the urgent care. I ended up having a ruptured appendix and was in the ICU for several days. When I came home my rabbit had tore up a huge section of carpet and was really anxious. He didn't leave my side while I was recovering the next few weeks. I think it scared him as I hadn't packed for a several day trip but he knew something was wrong as he never destroys like that even while I'm gone. He's been the best support rabbit. 😊

When I had a Dutch bunny, he licked the tears off my face when I cried. Now I have a lion head, but she hasn't done that yet. She gets as excited as a puppy when she thinks she's getting a treat or some affection. But she probably had a lot of eye-rolling moments this afternoon when some of my extended family came over, and the little girls wanted to pet her. She wasn't up for that because they are strangers to her.

I wanted to respond about that last point you made especially (Rabbits know when you are not looking and take advantage) because I have a funny story to share. So our bunny Snuffie, always walks up to our bed whenever me and my bf leave the bedroom to cook dinner in the kitchen. She always knows when we will be gone longer than a few minutes and will jump on our bed and start digging and or chewing into our bed sheets. And when my bf comes back into the room she will look up, determine it's daddy that came inside then continue with whatever naughty thing she was doing (my bf lets her go off easier than I do). But whenever I enter the room she will look up to me guilty and leave the bed fast, then come up to me and start licking my legs 🤣

My family has always believed that animals can sense your true intentions and use me as a prime example (time to out myself). I’m not a good owner, I have deep seated anger issues, my depression keeps in bed for longer than I like to admit and on top of it all I have ADHD so my parents take more care of my pets than I do (that’s not even half of it but I don’t want to write a biography) never the less my pets love me and come up to comfort me(which if you’ve seen any psychotic breakdown happen, isn’t the best or safest thing to do) I’ve never harmed my pets but I wouldn’t blame someone if they thought I would. My bunnies have been with me through every meltdown and depression attack and I can’t thank them enough for that.

I feel like the main part of this video is Lorelei using it as a confessional, but there are so many cute bunnies that I didn't truly listen to a lot of the comments anyway :) Bunnies do feel like they are massively more judging of their humans than other domesticated pets, even more than cats!

I don't know why Rukia glommed on me immediately. It was almost instant "i just met you but I love you" like Dug from Up. Maybe its because she was in a small space with three siblings and I made her the sole recipient of hay and lettuce in the household. And since her hips felt bony and I had a small purple carrot, maybe four inches by three quarters of an inch, I shared the one kind of carrot I like to eat for the sake of making sure she wasn't too skinny. Because lets face it, purple and red carrots are AWESOME. Especially the pusa asita carrot, which lets you make PURPLE carrot juice.

Rabbit can also apparently sense when you're faking your death to trick them, as proven by OneMorePlease when their rabbit, Pipkin, was completely calm in the presence of their supposed death. Speaking of which, R.I.P. Pipkin. You will always be remembered. 💔

Great video. Rabbits seem very cat like to me in some ways. LOL. All i can say is that they are too smart and cute for us humans. I personally think now I am in deep trouble since my rabbit knows too much about me.

Once again, another great video! Everything in this video is so true. So many people do not understand the care and super great qualities of a house rabbit. Thank you so much for your videos and the knowledge that you spread 🙂

@@zainabshatta6344 please no, but this is not the forum to discuss political views, so....post your political views on a forum about politics on another channel. This is not a channel to argue about things like that on. I'm pretty sure the host doesn't mean to intend a political debate.

My bunny's don't care at all about my feelings, like I can cry hours on the floor and they just look at me like "what the hell are you doing" :D
