I've used the Ambient Light Sensor on the Sony for 10 years - it's the best feature of the TV because even that TV is a light cannon without the light sensor and backlight set to 9 (not max). At night, you can feel your eyes get tired without the light sensor after a few minutes and Vivid is even worse but I never touch it. I don't know how it compares to other light sensors but the Sony light sensor is a gift from God - otherwise, I'd have to tweak brightness as much as volume which I hate doing for volume. I prefer never to touch anything when watching or playing.

Now that you've played with the Bravia 7, how much better is it than the x90L performance wise? Especially motion, upscaling, dark scenes??

I give the edge to the Bravia 7 for the ULTRA brightness and deeper blacks. other than that, the performance is pretty much the same. In fact, I've really enjoyed having the X90L in the bedroom and Bravia 7 upstairs. The continuity between the two makes me feel like I'm watching the same TV no matter where I am.

from a technical point of view the Bravia7 is a large step over the X90L, FALD vs Mini LED and such. I want to keep the TV for 10 years or so and as I know myself I would regret the X90L after a while even if it is perfectly fine 🙄 Please note that the Bravia7 is still on its way to get cheaper. I guess in a few months (Black Friday?) it is "cheap enough" for my budget

I got the Bravia 7 and am really happy with it and with its sound. But I am still wondering if I should get the Bar 8 to complete it. Do you think it really worth its price or the upgrade would not be so important. Many thanks

Hi Thanks for this review! You mentioned the Frame (Samsung) TV when talking about the screensaver mode on the Bravia 7. Can you save artwork to the Bravia 7 screen saver and have it display that artwork for hours at a time? If yes, this can serve the same function while being a better TV for movies. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for watching! You cannot save your own stuff to the TV, however you have the choice of using Sony’s curated photos or Google's artwork. If you choose Google, you can add your own photos to be the screensavers and choose a longer display time for them. Oh! I just remembered... Sony partnered with Leon Studio Frame. It literally turns the Bavia 7into a Frame TV. @@NewStuffTV1 Hi thank you for your reply! I did see this Leon frame yesterday while looking up how to save artwork to the Bravia 7. An actual wood like photo frame itself is not so important to me but I liked that we could save our own chosen artwork to the screensaver. An OLED TV would "burn-in" if I did this whereas its fine on an QLED. I had been looking at the Samsung Frame but its not bad ratings compared to the BRAVIA 7 and OLED TV's....

hi All i just connected my Sony WH-1000XM5 to my Bravia 7 and i have nothing going to the headphones, Zero sound im getting, headphones are connected, i can hear the "beep" when im going through menu using TVs remote but no actual sound. I cant turn on3D surround as it tells me im using multiple outputs.

I'd say the B7 is closer to the X93L in all Specs for the 65inch and 55 inch I'd say the 75 and 85inch is closer to the x95l Only cos I had the x93l and x95l I now have the B7 and B9 and with there Firmware update they function even better when first got And in all content I do think tho that the B7 and B9 in 75inch Function Very the same and Look So alike in all content

Are the viewing angles as bad as the “professional” reviewers say? Was able to snag a 75” for $1400 and I’m nervous after reading reviews, but the “non-professionals” are saying it’s a non-issue and seems to be no worse than any other VA panel.

@@davidjuaquin2 the google tv built-in sucks. It is not good compared to what an nvidia shield does. I have my own collection of blurays ripped, and bravia 8’s google tv cant even handle the decoding. Tv = all about the panel, and not the hardware. I should have gone with LG C4 for the panel and 4 x hdmi 2.1. I will end up using nvidia shield most of the time anyway

@@AM93000 fair, but i find google tv to work pretty ok on my 2017 x900e so i assumed this new lineup with Google12 would be pretty efficient. My only concern is the official note of Ads being included in these new Bravia Google systems, are you noticing many ads? Ive recently just heard about this shield and how its probably the best adnroid system for tvs. So if you were familiar with it before the B8 then I can understand why you'd be underwhelmed. Hope the pictures great at least, enjoy!
