I've been going through a lot and everymorning when I drive to methadone clinic and work I listen to RX Papi. I love how he makes the music to share his truth instead of to seek fame. I love how he came from the same fentanyl hustling ultra violent street culture that almost killed me so so many times nbs. I seriously know every single word of most of his songs and they bring back memories I never even heard the song for. I just wanna show my friend Austin his music so bad he always loved these types of underground artists. I've been coming off benzos for the past few months and I seriously doubt I will survive this sometimes this song really reminds me of how it feels to be fed up. Sometimes I guess what's done is done and there's no going back. Free Austin.

Is it weird that this song is obv not funny, but his flow will always be lighthearted and comedic to me which makes u connect with him easier even on this deeper level with the dark and serious subject matter accompanied by the pain in his voice. YOU WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY MOM AND MY DAD is such a sad line but the rhyme scheme and timing considering his usual flow and lyrics are always going to stick out. You have to be a genius to use satire and comedy so much to your advantage where you can make a track where you pour your heart out with that same flow and connect with fans on an unnerving level that makes them eventually chant the lyrics just in how relatable the pain is. I know a lot of Rx fans didn’t know how to feel hearing this but knew exactly what to feel.

How this man speaks about him I feel like he’s talking to me, I love this song so so much because throughout the course of my life this is how it was for me (not all of it but definitely most of it), I was never part of a gang, I never sold drugs, I never robbed, but those crimes is what my mom and her friends was a part of, and I witnessed all of it. I never had a dad but she had a boyfriend that she prioritized much more than me and my brothers, she hardly bought us anything, yet she bought drugs and other things like that, I despised living in that house, there was junkies, gangsters, and failures in that house constantly. all my clothes, shoes, etc were all pass downs of my brothers who took care of me because my mom wasn’t there, there was so much horrid things that she spent her time on instead of raising us in a loving way.
