This sinnet uses an Over 5, over 3, over 1 pattern and gives a nice square profile and when set up properly gives contrasting corners.
I'm calling it a 12 strand box sinnet because I think the name is pretty descriptive. It's a technique I came up with on my own while playing. That doesn't mean it doesn't already exist, only that if it does I don't know what it's called. If you know it by another name please let me know. It's related to Ashley's #2929 which is an over 3, over 1 pattern. Mine adds to this to become an over 5, over 3, over 1 pattern. The number of cords used must be divisible by 3. I've not done it in 9, but you could try that. Also 15 or 18 strands might be interesting.
If you find this video useful please share and like. Also if you need some hard laid cord, please consider mine. Link below.

Hope you find my video useful. If so please consider supporting my endeavours by checking out my store. I have a small selection of hand made hard laid cord for sale. Traditional hard laid cord is the perfect cord for this style of decorative knotting. If you've not used it will change your knotting forever. bloodknot.bigcartel.com/

Very clear directions. Interesting how you develop the sinnet.

Great sinnet! I found an awesome 12 strand stopper knot, the Luzny button, on Mikko Snellman's channel (Lucky 13 bracelet), and have been looking for a round (or square) 12 strand sinnet to pair that with. I'm going to give this a try. Thanks.
