A long time ago I heard this melody. However I do not know the name of this piece of music was! So I call it now "12-string Irish tune" !

Celtic music sounds so much better on a 12-string than on a regular 6-string.

I think you probably mean English. I do not think the Welsh and Scots would forgive you for that. Anyway why would English hate it. Players like Martin Carthy and Nik Jones play this style, and many others, around the folk clubs in England. It is not in any Irish style from what I can hear and I am playing a long time. Sin é mo scéal mo chara. Is mise Ray ó Dubhlinn.

There are apps available that could identify the tune in seconds. If you didn't tell me it was Irish I would have guessed Texas gunfighter theme. Nicely played.

The people who are saying 500 miles are not thinking of the 1961 composed tune but this song which is also known as 900 miles. It’s not an Irish tune though. Very American kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5e9ZImjpL6hhas

Glad that you like it! Unfortunately I still do not know the original title. The tune is actually not difficult. Maybe it will help you in the reconstruction of the tune when you're playing it at a slower rate (speed)... for example by the VLC media player!? Then you can hear the individual parts more ...

Very nice Heinz. It sounds very much like 500 miles, a song by American folksinger Hedy West. It came out about 1961.

No, it's not 500 Miles 'cos that's in a major key and yours is minor, but It does remind me of something.

Do you think it's possible to learn this by listening to it?
@heinzv.12847 жыл бұрын
Probably not! A tutorial is, of course, always good. In the 70s and 80s (long ago - there was no internet, no KZbin, no tutorials!), I tried to play several instrumental tunes by listening to music cassettes. Also by playing and listening with reduced speed I could play some parts better. At that time I had to train my hearing pretty much! Now 30 or 35 years later I see and hear the videos but also all what I have played wrong then... :(
