THANKYOU so much for explaining all these jobs/titles in a comprehensive way. As a teacher looking at transitioning out, this was helpful!

Hi Sam! Could you make a video showing your home office space, essentials for your set up, etc. I just landed my first ID job outside of teaching and would love ideas on how to set up my home office. Especially must haves or recommendations as far as monitors and things.

Congrats on your new role!! I have a video called "wfh desk refresh" that covers my space set up :D everything from that video is what's on my desk! I'd say the thing I'd recommend most is a nicer microphone for voiceovers and a monitor that fits your space and is bigger than 19" because you'll probably be doing a lot of video editing and writing!

@@SamTaylorEd Thanks so much! I'll check out your video for a few ideas. Yes, I have to find a good microphone as well. What was your salary starting out if you don't mind me asking and have you had opportunities to grow with your company? I didn't really negotiate my salary, but I probably should have. Just pretty excited to get started!

@@SamTaylorEd which courses would youu recommend to pivot into instructional design? I'm currently doing the Google UX design course.

@@f._.t5169 That's a great design course to take! I'd also recommend taking a free Instructional Design course on EdX to gain a bit of insight into the more technical side of things!
