The one thing I'll add more about stims, is while that blue effect is on your screen, your also constantly regaining HP. Even when its already full, It doesn't make you outright invincible but if your about to start getting swarmed by bugs, exploded and so on, pop a stim, there's a decent chance you'll out heal the damage or survive whatever's about to hit you isn't an outright kill. Its saved my life a lot when it comes to a ton of hunters that have managed to jump at me or push through or when needed to push through a bug horde to finish the objective behind em.

Yep, and there's an armor in the free warbond that increases the stim duration by 2 seconds. That is literally 2 more seconds of nigh invincibility which is amazing for reckless players like me. It saved my skin far too many times than i'd like to admit.

Honorable mention tip: dont follow the heavy armor tip at the moment. Its been tested and currently the armor stat is bugged. You die just as fast as a light armor wearer with all the negatives to stamina and speed. Until they fix it, heavy just isnt viable

One of the things the game doesn't explain at all, is the Eagle. So if you pick all 4 strategems as different Eagle strikes, Say, Airstrike, 110mm pods, Napalm and the 500kg bomb. Thats essentially outfitting your Eagle with all those weapons, so you have 2 uses on each and 1 500kg (without the upgrade) You can use all 7 of those in rapid succession with a 10 second timer in between each and the Eagle rearm strategem will return the jet early to resupply any uses you have used. Secondly, this isnt shown anywhere, on PS5 at least, Hold down on the D-pad to bring up a menu to drop samples, your support weapon or backpack, this is great for, say someone has a recoiless rifle, you can drop it for your teammate and have them load you to take down that incoming Bile Titan and then drop it again to give it back. Lastly Autocannon is a beast, this thing does it all, one shot for bug holes, clears big crowds, quick solo reloads, lots of ammo, and, you can solo chargers no problem. I just sprint straight at them, dive at an angle and then spin and dump the mag.

And it can 1 shot the robot hulks if you hit it right in the red eye in the center. The only thing the railgun can't do is damage heavy armor like tanks, artillery or bot ships.

So say you have all eagle stratagems. You use up all the charges of your airstrikes. To refill this, you'd either put all your other eagle stratagems on CD by rearming, or else you keep going till you use up your other eagle stratagem charges then it auto re-arms?

4:04 another thing on stims, the stims hp regeneration effect last for a while as well. So if you know your about to take a freedom ending amount of damage, pop a stim. I’ve survived what should of been lethal damage multiple times this way

Another min max tip about the supply backpack, when you restock the backpack with the supply stratagem you also resupply the ammo for the guns you are carrying, basically, its better for you to use the backpack supply on your teammates and get ammo for yourself from the supply drop.

Don’t tell pugs to shoot chargers in the butt; their butt is only unarmored, you are supposed to pick one of their front legs and shoot it until the the armor comes off it, the weird colored flesh under the armor is the weak spot area, when the leg comes off the charger insta-dies.

Anti-material rifle is massively underrated. Can take out the bloaters with 1 shot to the head. Can take out chargers with 4-5 shots to the same leg.

5:45 This is a good tip in theory, but armor value is currently bugged and not actually applying any defensive bonus. You take the exact same amount of damage, and have the same limb wound threshold, regardless of whether you're wearing the lightest armor in the game or the heaviest. Every other armor stat works (speed, stamina, every armor passive except extra padding). Devs are aware and will get around to it, but given the server issues taking priority it might be a patch or two before the fix shows up so for the time being you're technically better off running the lightest armor you have in every possible scenario.

@@AssClapCowboy Not fixed as of today Feb 23. All armor is functionally the same in terms of armor rating until this is fixed. It isn't clear if that means armor isn't being applied at all (armor rating 0) or if every piece of armor has the default value (armor rating 100) but either way light armor is definitely the meta.

I am delighted with its success and just hope the devs dont cave in to the requests of all the noobs and nerf the game just because they have no idea how to play it yet. These are all incredibly helpful. Also the expendable anti tank gun is insanely good for lower levels v the tank enemies. You get two per drop and the cooldown is only 70sec. Destroy the armor on one leg and you can gun it down with the default rifle in about half a mag

At 4:47 you can see the chargers leg armor is broken, few shots to ONE leg after will instant kill a charger and bile titan, works well with railgun to break the armor in 2 shots and breaker shotty(BiS) primary to dismember the leg for quick kill

I've been fighting the Terminids mainly just because I joined recently and the whole mission to curb the terminids from that sector just dropped. I've noticed, and it's something that the game doesn't put exact values on, that the machine gun has a fairly high penetration value out of what the game gives new players. This is based on having ran up against chargers, brood commanders, and armored warriors and while anti material rifles and disposable anti tank shots are sometimes strewn about, they're not completely viable and you get the machine gun in training and it's available from the moment you finish the tutorial. But the standard AR and pistol have little to no chance of making it through the the armor (and really nothing has a chance of going through the Charger's armor at the beginning few levels,) but the machine gun in a direct line head on can penetrate through the armor of armored warriors and brood commanders. It's one of those things that isn't thought about much and I'm sure a few newer players kind of gripe about, running into enemies that they can't kill without luck. So the "light armor penetration" on some of the guns isn't really accurate. The Diligence shares similar penetration values, so again, even though the game give the impression that it will only work on light armor, get in good position and you never know.

One tip that I haven’t seen anyone talk about yet is the Pheromone sprayers. If you see one of the bugs setting up to start spitting that orange spray into the air, those are pheromones that tell their buddies where you are and the next thing you know a big hole opens up and all HELL breaks loose. If you learn what that animation looks likes for each MOB and you can nail that orange myst spewing sucker early enough it will stop the big hole from ever opening! Prioritize targets people

My best advice is: Just run away or avoid. I get that it's very tempting to shoot whatever you see but even on the highest difficulty you can simply run away or just walk around a lot of things. The thing you really need to watch out for is stalkers/hunters or chargers, and the chainsaw/flying automotons. Everything else though you can pretty much just run away from if you're getting overwhelmed. Light armor and the shield backpack also help a lot in this case.

Another tip: if you're having trouble surviving in higher difficulty missions, use the shield generator backpack. In only unlocks at level 20, but it essentially is a must have item at dif-7 and above. It basically makes it so that you'll only truly get damaged when you get hit a lot at once. You can casually shrug off even the bile attack of a Bile Titan.

One other thing about the supply pack is when your refilling your pack with a supply drop, it also refills your own ammo, grenades, and stims without consuming the uses any of the supplies.

I have clocked over 400+ hours in HD1, and I've been really excited to see what Arrowhead would do with a sequel. I absolutely love HD2, and I look forward to seeing what more they release to add on to the game. HD1 received steady, massive content updates _for years,_ and I expect the same will happen with HD2. My one and only complaint with HD2 is the way ammo count is portrayed. One of the most critical features in HD1 is every weapon would tell you when you were close to bottoming out the magazine. The tracers on projectile weapons would start to turn a bright red, and the firing sound would change. Laser weapons similarly would produce a ton of steam and glow as you approached the heat threshold, letting you know to let up and give it time to cool so you don't have to waste a reload. HD2 doesn't seem to have this crucial information conveyed by its weapons. I'm sure I'll eventually get used to developing a 'feel' for when I need to reload certain weapons, but what I liked about HD1 is every gun telegraphed this information perfectly, just from the way it sounded or looked while firing. I'd love to see this system put back into place in HD2.

I recommend the aurocannon, get 2 on the squad and your armored enemy problems are at an end. 3-4 shots the vents on big turrets and tanks, 2 to the face port of a hulk and it's gone. And if you're fighting bugs, mag dumping 2 entire backpacks can really mess the day of a bile titan. It's full auto after all and prone kick is very manageable. Just don't use it like a shotgun, cause at a certain range the only pellets you'll be firing are you're meaty bits in the opposite direction of what you were shooting at.

If you find you aren’t able to use your Eagle call ins on automaton planets, look around the sky for rapid fire red shots going up into the air nearby. Head towards those and you’ll find a couple AA guns that require explosive to destroy. If you destroy them, you’ll have access to your Eagle again.

Short answer is yes, as the community fights the war, our progression will determine the maps we unlock, or the content the devs will add. It works both ways, if we fail to liberate planets, the enemies will siege new planets, unlocking those maps.

If you fight bots, I recommend doing the grenade launcher with the supply pack. It ends up being something like 72 grenades if you use the backpack for your own resupply.

Small tips from recent session: Stance affects accuracy a lot. Firing prone with HMG or LMG is a must. There are a lot of stealth mechanic that nobody is mentioning. Crouching, or hiding behind rocks does help evade needles encounters with patrols (dont shoot everything on sight). Use turrets and mines to create chokepoints for bugs to go through, it will make defence missions easy if you also pummel them with LMG fire along with airsupport. Edit: Also use compass on the upper part of the screen. It gives you bearing on where does enemy come from. Great tool for sniper or other high ground scout to spot and inform the team of incoming threat.

Going prone... Or just ADS, if the target's big enough. MGs have very controllable recoil when scoped, unless you're trying to focus a big bot's weakspot or something.

You can stick stratagems onto enemies, you’d think it would make the orbital precision strike hit better but its strangely inaccurate when you stick it to a target. Stratagems that calls something in (supplies, turrets, support weapon) are more consistent at hitting stuck foes.
