Thank you for your tips they are very useful ❤️ I have a question: You mention that all the materials should be always available but at home it is impossible to have all the materials available ,I rotate them by groups trying to have a variety of activities to work different skills.

Hi... thanks for your comment. When I mentioned that you need to have the material available at all times - I mean that whatever is in your environment should be available to your child. Even if there are only 4 materials, the child should always have access to them. You are right - it is impossible to have this range of material at home so rotating is the way to do it :)

Why is spooning always from left to right, and not right to left?
@SunshineTeachersTraining11 ай бұрын
Great observation! In Montessori activities, such as spooning from left to right, there's a thoughtful purpose behind it. It's a clever way to indirectly prepare children for reading and writing, both of which follow a left-to-right pattern. You see, by introducing this left-to-right movement early on through activities like spooning, we're helping children develop the foundational skills they'll need for reading and writing. It's like giving them a little head start on understanding directionality, which is such an important concept in language development. So, when you notice them spooning from left to right, know that it's not just a fun activity; it's setting the stage for their future adventures in reading and writing.

In a home setting with limited space could you (once the child masters it) just add another level that one tray instead of having the four different levels all out at once? Or would that be taking away the choice to use the easier versions?

Katy Rathbun Depending on your space and knowing what your child is interested in, you can choose the materials you want to display
