Great Episode. I'm fortunate to have a couple cards from the under the radar sets. 1952 Derek Ross Minnie Minoso, 1954 Red Heart Minnie Minoso, 1964 Orlando Cepeda Standup (love how they look in SGC slabs) and 1975 SSPC Billy Williams. Now you have me searching for 1964 Tops Giants and other SSPC cards.

Great guest in Dan. Fun fact about the SSPC name. In talking with Andrew Aronstein who is Mikes son . He said his dad knew he would be sued by Topps so he set up a new company to keep it separate from his TCMA company

1959 and 1960 Topps are both great sets with great designs. Ted Williams missed out not being in those sets, but so did we. Good points on the Fleer Williams cards.

Definitely one of the most interesting episodes published recently. Fantastic topic & especially dialogue between Mike and Dan. While I may not agree all these sets fly under the radar, that doesn’t matter. These two gentlemen, presented each set in an informative and factual way that had me rethinking my opinion of each. Also enjoyed how both talked about their strategies for completing specific sets in the conversation. there does seem to be so many “Mantle” rules & strategies in the hobby from the early 1980s that remain in-play today. Wonderful episode!

Great topic. I love the ‘64 Stand-Ups - slowly working on a HOF set. The photos are mostly unique from anything else Topps put out. Someday I need to start the ‘59 Williams set, I have always liked it. I have always wondered if the ‘56 Bowman version would have been larger like ‘55 Bowman or smaller like ‘57 Topps and the ‘58 Hires. I didn’t know the stadium aspect of the ‘55 double plays. That is really cool. Red Heart Musial is at the top of my want list. Love the Wilson Franks - Williams is the lone HOFer I need and not sure I will ever pay up for it.

Just bought 3 more SSPC PSA 9’s. Got the Aaron, Mays, and Winfield for about $120. Almost forgot about this set. Thanks Mike, great show snd great guest.

Great episode with an awesome guest! Fun Fact: There was actually a 1923 Fleer baseball card set of 60 hand cut strip cards, designated as W515 of which there are also blank backs. It was only the one year and they did nothing again until the 59 Williams set.

'76 SSPC shot entirely at Shea (Yankees were tenants 1974-75) by a non-Keith Oldermann. Olbermann did write the back bios, however.

Killebrew played 106 games with 14 HR's for the Royals in 75. The SSPC is one of the very few cards of him in a Royals uniform.

Curious where Berk Ross cards were sold? All over nationally? Were they in packs with gum? How and where would a kid in 1951 and 1952 have gotten these? Great show and very informative Mike and Dan. Thank you!
