Thanks so much for clarifying this. I install tv antennas with my dad and we use a signal strength meter to help dial in the direction we need to point the antenna to get the best signal. I've wondered for a while why the DBm is always a negative value and now it makes sense

evening GT -so its 1mW x 10 [because 10 dB is 10x the power] so for 13dBm you are then referring to the previous answer of 10mW to get the doubling of 10mW [because of the 3dB = 2x] dB in 13 ?] to make 20 mW ? in other words it's not 3 [2X Power] dB X 1 mW but 2x the 10mW of the previous answer? I hope this makes sense -I think that's what I'm asking but not put very well ! Cheers these are good presentations
