We call it BEENII. 1 5 3 6 2 4. B= both valves, E = Exhaust , N = Neither and I = intake. Just right the firing order under BEENII. Turn motor over and do opposite. . If you did both and turn motor over. You now do neither. If you did intake now you do exhaust.. etc etc old school love it man

Does this method work for a 6.7 4th gen? I understand it would need a clutch tool for the alternator. What is different about that process with twice the valves?

Overhead Set On Common Rail 5.9 Cummins kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3K4mmWbd7WJapI Steven. This video is a 24 valve. It’s a 5.9 liter . But similar to your 6.7 Cummins. You’ll just want to make sure you have the correct feeler gauges for your engine, but the process is the same!

This is kind of confusing people need to make a good diagram that shows you and blowed up vision you jump from the front to the back can a valve overlap without pushing the pin in I've been looking at some videos you start off at number one piston and do the recommended settings with pushing the pin in on the timing gear then after you get them done one through whatever number then you turn it over counterclockwise again from the alternator make sure the pin is pulled out from the ejection pump and you keep going until the pin goes back in counterclockwise rotation from the alternator pulley can you set number six add top dead center it should be and then you move out forward from there

Sorry to confuse you. This video is to specifically show the valve overlap method. If you do not completely understand it you should use the pin to get TDC. Thanks for watching!
