Take the negative from the tps to the passenger battery and hook it up to the drivers battery. Fixed!

I've been dealing with this for years now.. my 95 12v constantly locks/ unlocks at right about cruising speed (60-65) and is SO annoying.. and has been for the last 280K miles! I'm gonna have to try this, if I can find the kit/ switch :)

I rewatched the video, and caught the name.. looked it up and it's already ordered :) Can't believe I've put up with this for almost 16 years and just found this solution, I suspected the TPS was the issue, but the one for my 95 is listed at $300+ vs this switch for $42, shipped to my house :) Thanks again, you got a new Subscriber for this one!

Thanks for the video. If you turn OD off, can you adjust TC lockup to occur at whatever mph you prefer? Thanks!

takes some trial but yes it will lock up in 3rd with od off

How does the OD affect the TC lockup? anyway, I'm going to try this maybe it will fix my lockup issue.

the only way OD affects lockup is what gear it will lock in. OD on lock up is in 4th (OD). OD off it will lock up in 3rd. hope this helps

@@Talbot_Industries Would you have any tips for using it, for instance how it reacts when the truck shifts out of OD? There doesn't appear to be much clear guidance or instruction out here on it.

@@reebarr8832 they only thing that changes with the delete is you can more less set when lock up will be. truck still drives the same. it down shifts like normal. upshifts like normal. the kick down cable is still doing some of the work so if you have alit of throttle input it will lock up later on than if your easy. around town below 50/55 i always shut OD off and let it lock in 3rd. really helps get around with 160hp. i have it set to lock up in 3rd at about 40 and just leave it there. works well for towing or driving.
