Thanks - that was very useful. I'm a new GH5 owner and finding some other folks videos either get too waffly or too technical. You hit my level - Especially liked the Custom settings and assigning function buttons tips.

The Bats and good company Thanks! Im glad this video was useful for you. I hope you enjoy using the GH5 as much as I do! Regarding the customizable aspects of the GH5, I’ve often overlooked the many ways these features can be helpful. With such a versatile camera, it really is essential to try to be organized as much as possible with settings combinations. Stay tuned, and thanks for watching and commenting!

Hi Carl, what lens did you use in this video? It looks great.

Thanks! It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure I used the Panasonic Leica 25mm f/1.4.

great video, is that a 100 watt marshall head behind you? I had a Randy Rhoads head years ago, it was the loudest amp I have ever played!
@carlculpepperimages5 жыл бұрын
3rdGorilla thank you! The amp directly behind me is a 50 watt Marshall Jubilee. The one in the bookcase is a custom made 18 watt head. I’ve had several 100 Marshalls over the years, and the loudest I had were the early ‘70s Super Leads. But, yes, I’ve heard that the RR model is bone crushingly loud... haha! Good stuff! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I don't like the Fn6 button. I accidently hit this button a lot and even worse, when I work in the menues or watch the Display, I press it accidently for a few seconds. The camera jumps into the the settings for the button in this case. There is one workaround: If you set the button to AE-L you have a mode where it is important to hold the button for a longer time - so it doesn't jump into the settings.

Yeah, I can see how various buttons would be more or less useful, depending on your grip. The only button placement that really bothers me on the GH5 is the Disp. button. Thanks for the suggestion; I'm sure there are others who feel the location of Fn6 is awkward. Thanks for watching and commenting!
