Here's how I dispute all of his methods. 1) He has to get close to Bats before he can do that, and Batman has many long-range weapons, most of which can be infused with Kryptonite. 2) Again, proximity. Batman + Kryptonite = incapacitated Supes. 3) Charging the heat-vision for 12 days? Assuming Superman isn't doing anything else while charging, Batman could have him begging for mercy by 12:00 of the first day. 4) Batman is the master of stealth. He knows every trick in the book; He's not about to be bested by the oldest one. Plus, WayneTech has all sorts of surveillance across Gotham. Batman can see Superman coming from a mile away any day. 5) See above. Also, helmet. Also, helmet probably part of armor made for fighting Superman. 6) Batman is ALWAYS paying attention, especially in a fight with a flying death-magnet, assuming we're going with the Zack Snyder Superman. 7) Bruce Wayne has satellites too. When he sees Superman trying to do that, he can just ask Alfred to load the Batwing with Kryptonite bullets and unload them on Superman. And that's only if Batman doesn't have a way of stopping Superman from leaving Earth's atmosphere. 8) Not if Batman has a Kryptonite suit, which he totally does in the comics. 9) Almost all of these methods involve proximity, which Batman is too smart to allow Superman to achieve. 10) Superman fans have already established that speed = time-travel is bull. Next. 11) He has to get a batarang first. Like Batman's gonna let him do that. 12) Batman probably already knows of Superman's inability to see through lead. Thus, he most likely lined his suit with lead, which shields you from x-rays. He probably did it to conceal his gadgets, so he would've outwitted Superman by accident. Long story short, Batman finishes the fight before it starts.

Well... neither of them are really accurate as far as the movie is concerned, though. Although Kyle's conclusion is closer to being absolutely right in both comics and movie universes, he clearly overestimates Superman's strength by drawing on comic book, pre-Crisis source material (which isn't applicable to modern comics, much less the movie universe) as MatPat clearly _under_-estimates Superman's strength by basing his entire argument on one scene from a movie trailer with no legitimate indication that it represents anywhere near his true strength capacity. In a way, they represent the extremes of fan discussion on questions like this at large, making exaggerated or erroneous statements even if their conclusions may be true. I would say that, despite Kyle's exaggerated estimates, his conclusion is certainly true _except_ in the case of Batman having a very potent piece of kryptonite (enough to just about stop the fight before it began) or using less potent pieces of it in a more effective way (such as shooting/barraging him with kryptonite bullets or making a stealth attack against him with a piece that's powerful enough in close quarters). Well... or one of Superman's other weaknesses (if they exist in this universe), such as magic or red solar radiation.

Sneaking up on someone when you can move at the speed of light is remarkebly easy.. Even if he could only move at something like mach 20 he could easily sneak up on batman. Superman reaction speeds would be FTL so nothing should ever hit him. Even bullets flying through the air should practically appear static to him. Some kriptonite science isn't going to stop his momentum and on top of that he has all those incredible senses such as hyper enhanced hearing, sight and even abilities to detect frequencies of all kinds. He basically has omnicient awareness all around him. No matter what science batman uses in the comics, in reality superman will win everytime. The argument of Superman being a brute doesn't add up. Sure he relies on his incredible power to fight, but that'ssimply the best thing to do if you are as strong as him. It has been shown that superman is not only more intelligent but also more of a technological genuis than batman is. Using his vision he took a look at some of batmans gadges and after just taking one look he could find multiple flaws and gave batman advice on how to improve them further. Not only that, he can learn new information really quickly. He can read the contents from a whole library in less than a day. The reason he nerver puts an emphasis on strategy is because he can simply rely on his power most of the time to win in a fight, but batman needs to exhaust every single possibility and exploit every single little thing he can in order to maximize his succes. Against human level opponents batman is unstoppable and he can definitly fight against villains that are sronger than him by explointing their weaknesses and using his gadgets to get an edge, but superman is on a whole different level... Superman is strong enough to pull the entire earth behind him, he can push planets... He can destroy planets with his fists... And much more.. No gadgets are going to give you an edge over that. And saying that batman wins if superman kills him is a stupid argument. If batman would even fight him in the first place it's his fault for enticing the wrath of someone that can destroy the entire planet with little to no effort. Superman is no danger to earth because he's clearly on the side of humanity, so batman has no need to come up with a plan to stop superman if he goes of a rampage, because he will never go on a murdering rampage against humanity, even if he does loose control. And if you are considering the weaker and less powerful superman just after the dc crisis period it's still a huge stretch for batman to even stand a chance... In fact, it's still impossible for him to win even if he does exploit supermans weaknesses. Superman beat someone made out of kryptonite and not only that, this fellow was also many times stronger than batman ever was even with his enhanced power armors and other gadgets. When batman uses kryptonite to try and exploit supermans weakness it's suddenly super effective "because batman", even though it's a tiny ass piece in a fucking ring on his finger... Just face it. There is simply no way in any realistic scenario for batman to beat superman unless superman literally let's batman win to make him look good or something... It's not even a competition..

First off let me say that I am a huge Batman fan and find him to be one of the most interesting characters in all of comics. But I do get slightly annoyed at all my fellow bat-fans claiming that Bruce would own Supes in a fight (with prep and his mighty plot armor of course). They also like to cite things like the graphic novels Hush and The Dark Knight Returns as proof of this. Let's be clear here, in neither case was Superman looking to outright kill or permanently put down Batman. He was trying to simply slow down or stop him. And when you consider how much effort he has to put into holding down his own power in order to keep from accidentally killing mortal humans, its akin to trying to shake out a soaked napkin without it ripping. If Superman wanted to have an outright dead set determination to end the bat's life, then Batman would have no chance in stopping it from happening. Rage all you want fan-boys but it's the truth. But let's, just to be fair, get all your possible arguments out of the way first. Prep time-the biggest argument. Give him all the time to gather and prepare kryptonite weaponry that Wayne-Tech can muster, and it will not matter. Reason being is this, the Kryptonite attacks Superman via radiation poisoning that affects Kryptionians, yes? Well, that poison needs time to register it's effects on Superman before it can even weaken him. If you take the laws of physics seriously, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light (that we can determine anyways). And Superman is stated to be able to exceed that limit. But let's just say that he can't and light speed is his limit. Not only would a single punch from Superman be able to strike and kill Batman before the poison can finalize it's reaction to Superman's biological chemistry, but the punch would be traveling so fast that Batman would not even be able to know it was coming or even feel the hit before he was dead. Also in case you are wondering what a Superman punch would do, here is a neat little factoid from Vsauce. (the equation for calculating force is force equals mass times velocity-squared if you wanted to check for yourself.) If Superman’s fist was 300g and he could move at 99% the speed of light, his punch would be cable of punching at an energy 190,000,000,000,000,000 joules. That’s quadrillion. That’s 45 megatons of TNT. That’s 2,800 times more powerful than Hiroshima. The temperature of his punch would be 143,999,999,999,540.3 degrees Fahrenheit. Basically Batman would be liquefied before he even knew the fight started. Clark's gentle nature is the only thing that has EVER kept Bruce from an early grave in their encounters.

you know i always wondered, i havent read all the superman comics, ive seen all the films, cartoons, some comics ect, and a lot of his abilities are enhanced human abilities, like strength, speed, hearing, better vision, super cold breath, some arent, like flying, heat vision, and some other of his abilities, but if he is such a super enhanced being, how loud could he shout? if he can freeze an explosion of fire just by breathing some cool air on it, surely if he shouted loud enough it could do some pretty heavy damage.

A couple more ideas: flying him up and letting him die on reentry. Similarly, just picking him up and dropping him. I’d hope Batman would pack a parachute if he’s fighting Superman. Also, throwing him into the ocean hard enough to make him implode under oceanic pressure. Dropping him into a volcano would be interesting to watch. He also could take him to a warm or cold desert and leave him to die. That might fail since Batman’s almost surely had good survival training. He’d be worse off if Superman stripped him of his gear, though.

Prior to seeing the video, going off the title alone, my first two basic thoughts were similar to #1 and #8 ... Drag Batman into space and/or go all, "HULK SMASH!" on him. But you are right, superman is basically a nice guy and would not want to kill him. HOWEVER, Batman seemed to be obsessed with Killing Superman and would not let that mentality go. Knowing this, a modified version of the very first method could be used. Drag Batman up to 30,000 feet (Note: Kryptonite at that altitude, the fall may mess up Superman but would far more likely kill batman) and fly him to a remote island somewhere. Superman could also drop Batman on top of the Himalayan mountains, but we did say Superman was basically a nice guy, yet somewhere off the Bikini Atolls would not be unreasonable. As long as we are going to pretend fiction is reality, here is how the fight would go: Despite repeated attempts by Superman to calm the situation peacefully, Batman insists on carrying out his plan to kill Superman. Superman quickly becomes aware that his attempts to peacefully remedy the problem, at that particular time and place, are futile. With super speed, he races up to Batman and bonks him on the head. Batman is now out for the count and wakes up - without his cape, costume or gadgets - in a grass hut on Gilligan's Island, surrounded by fishing gear, Capuchin monkeys and coconuts.
