This is one of the main differences between a cat and dog that people overlook. Dog Logic: I got dry food, he got a steak. We both got a treat! Cat logic: he got 4 treats, I got 3... Time to puke on the bed.

Honestly it's alot harder than i thought ! I don't know, i never owned a german sheperd. What i can tell you tho is that all porwerfull breeds are more stubburn that other breeds. I personnaly not recommand a rott or german sheperd as a first dog, unless you really document yourself on how to train them properly. It's alot of patience, consistance and hard work :D

It's sooo good training. If you got a guarding you don't want them to end up poisoned. Or having unwanted objects in their stomach anyway. Plus those that truly decide about the food and snacks are alphas.

They are one of the most intelligent breeds if you train them early. I’ve had two but I believe that the male was the sweetest meathead you could ever meet. He learned all commands by sign language. Good with children and adults. He always seemed like an 8 year old boy. I miss him so much! Love Rottweilers!

When I’m older, I’d like a rottie to protect me and my future babies. It would make me feel so much safer to have a large guard dog on me whenever I leave the home.. but they take so much training. Luckily Rottweilers are very smart and quicker to train than other breeds.

When you train your dog to leave it. It shouldn’t it be given the same thing, it confuses it. Leave it, means leave it- you can’t allow the dog to have it. It won’t understand why you told it to leave it then you gave it to him. Give him something else.

Hello ! Thanks for your feedback ! I guess it truly depends how you wanna use the command. I ask him to leave it until i say otherwise, if i say otherwise. Joey is now 4 and i can confirm that if i do not tell him he can have it, he won't touch it ^^ If for you the command leave it means your dog could never eat it, then do not do it like me.

His newest one came in the room and I like to test a dogs obedience for fun lol, so I said , "Sit." and he sat. Then I told him to, "Shake." and he gave me his paw. Very well trained.

I'm getting a rottie pup in a few months, he/she will be trained to be my service dog. I grew up with this gorgeous breed, and I use a wheelchair and have balance and strength issues, so I picked this breed to help me get around more independently. Once they're old enough and have been checked out for issues of course! Normally I prefer to adopt, but this time around I went with a breeder because I have special requirements, like a certain temperament and need a puppy without hip/elbow issues. Super excited, the puppies will be born soon!

Omg he's gorgeous! He reminds me of my boy Charlie. Charlie will be 3 on February 23 rd 2017. You're doing a wonderful job with him. They need firm training and teaching. Some ignorant uneducated people think you need to hit them to prove you're dominant. This could not be further from the truth. We have trained Charlie with firmness, consistency, and most of all, love. He is my best friend , my copilot, my protector, and my baby. They are such wonderful dogs. Good luck with your boy ! Hi, your videos are great ! So I have a Rottweiler puppy that’s 7 weeks and he’s already trained to Sit, Down, Hi5 and stay.. but he’s so uncontrollable when it comes to putting borders to not to Enter the kitchen room. We don’t have a door to the entrance so I’ve tried so many times to give him the stay command but he dosent listen as he can’t control himself. Recently if he crossed the line to the kitchen room I take him and put him in a room and close the door for some time ( the room is small and empty of anything hazardous ) once his crying gets louder I let him out and say“ don’t go to the kitchen” it seemed to work after 3 4 attempts but I’m wondering if it will affect him mentally... I’ve tried other methods online but my Rottie is a tough cookie! Is this method ok? He seems to think now before crossing the kitchen line..

Hello ! Congrats on your new puppy :) This is not the technique i would suggest because if it is a room you use for him he will associate it with negativy ( for exemple if it was his crate i would advise you not to do that). However if it does work and you dont use that room for him, id suggest not to let him out until he stopped barking/crying. He will understand that he has what he wants when he behaves that way. You are rewarding his barking/ crying that way. Of course asking your dog a stay command is not adequate in this situation. Stay means you do not move an inch from where you are, which is not what you want to teach him, becaude he can go wherever he wants, except enter the kitchen. What i do, is that you want to create an invisible wall that your dog cannot pass. I use my own body being calm and assertive to "push" him out the kitchen, walking towards him until he is behind the insivble lign i created. Just do that everytime he tries to cross it.After you did that a couple of times, when you see him about to cross that "line" normally a sound like "eh eh" just works to let him know not to come here. If ir doesnt, no problem just use your body again ( this is how dogs show others the limits) If you cannot train him, do not let him room freely in the house if you are taking a showef for instance intil he understands what you are asking from him. It usually takes 1 week for my clients to achieve that but their dogs are usually older ^^ Goodluck :)

yes i did it all by myself. I learned alot from cesar milan, bought his book i love it. Makes you understand how a dog really thinks. For the rest ( the commands, sit down ect..) . So cute! My Rottie puppy is 6 months, and she knows 11+ tricks! She knows how to (speak) in 6 ways and knows both English and Spanish! She's a very smart puppy! I'm so glad I got a Rottie, she's also my very first dog!

May I ask you how you go about feeding him? Is it bad to just leave a bowl of food for him all the time? Or how often do you feed him and how much. I have a 11 week old Rottweiler. Thanks!

Hello ! It is very important to follow the instruction on the bag and not give more quantity then recommended, specially in the growing phase ( the amount varies from brand to brand). If your puppy eats too much, he will be too heavy and it will be bad for his bones and development. Specially during that time, you should use his ration of food to train him 😊This way you teach him good manners and create a bond with your dog using his food as reweards instead of treats. If you do not have time for small training session, it is important to feed him a certain way to prevent food aggresivity and respect instead of just putting the bowl on the ground. Everything you do with your dog at that age is important on how you do ut. You can check one of my older video on my channel where i talk about that ! Good day 😁
