It’s a whole other level of cruelty.. Seriously evil. I had nothing this severe happen to me in school but I was bullied as well and there was this one thing that I just won’t forget cause idk how you can be that cruel. Some backstory, I was sick a lot for years and it just made the kids make fun of me even more, saying I’m faking for attention or I just wanted to hide from them, etc. Until I was 15 and I found out the cause was cancer. After the whole school found out, most of my bullies had the decency to show some concern or at least avoid me when they were too afraid to face me. They even sent a whole card with the class wishing me well. It was my best friend’s idea to send that card and she told me about how it went down. There was one girl (who always hated me for no reason) who didn’t even want to write anything in the card even though we knew eachother for 4 years. My bff then asked some classmates to pay a couple of cents to buy the card and a gift. Everyone agreed, except for her. She said “She’s not even worth a couple of cents”.. When I heard that I was stunned, I was at a point where I could die at 15 years old yet this girl would not get over her weird obsessive hatred for me. Some people just don’t have any empathy whatsoever, it really disgusts me.

When they heard about the anxiety they would say “oh everyone has stress”… like bro if you saw the mental gymnastics it took me to get schoolwork done and all of the breakdowns in the process you they would understand it wasn’t just “stress”… BTW I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life (the anxiety is almost like my accessory disability in my opinion - ADHD is the main thing and it can be the fuel to my anxiety)

@KatzeWire13 күн бұрын
Actually, if an adult is harassing another adult, it's not always jail. It's very common for police to not do anything about stalking situations until there is evidence that violence was threatened or you are actually hurt. When I was being stalked for months by someone who figured out my commute on public transportation to work, I was told "he's just confessing his love to you, so there's nothing we can do." I told them he was irrational, delusional, entitled, and a gun owner, but they said all they could do was submit a report. They said I couldn't even request a restraining order even though I had records of all the times he showed up by my car (I worked late nights, so I was always alone at that time) and the unhinged messages he sent to me and my friend from different numbers even after we kept blocking him. I felt so vulnerable and eventually uprooted my whole life to a new town and avoided posting anything that could reveal my location online.

He would act like it didn't bother him and he'd laugh along. A lot of people hesitated intervening because the bullies were jocks, and the coach was also an assistant principle who delt out punishment with a wooden paddle. One day in his senior year, he broke into the school, smashed all the football trophy cabinets and cancelled himself using the glass shards. From my experience working in the hospital the ICU is a high security unit. You need to be on the visitor list to visit. It doesn't matter if you are the Mom, Dad, cousin, nice, nephew, or friend. If your name is not on the list you can't get the patient room number or enter the hospital. In some cases if the patient is mentally available they give a special pass code in order for the staff to transfer external call to their room. Eather the hospital is extremely incompetent or this was an inside job.

I think that some teacher are complicit, with the bullying, because they can't, or don't want to, correct the bullies, because they don't want to deal with the bullies themselves, so they let the bullies misbehave so they, themselves, won't be harassed by the bullies. In other words, the teacher is also afraid of the bullies, and perhaps, the bullies parents, too.

So the bully's parents took them to the hospital for them to get these pictures or they went to the hospital on their own accord and did this? I'm sure these kids' social media isn't managed by those POS parents. Olivia Bennett needs to be held accountable, at the very least lose her job. Part of my family is apart or retired from school faculty and I cannot imagine this poor behavior from them allowed to remain in said district - shame on this SC district. Poor K, I hope her and her family get the justice they need. Tragic.

Knowing better is more suitable excuse for something like drinking and driving. They tortured a girl so badly she hung herself and then took PICS after like a trophy-- speaks more to a serial killer level of empathy. Just be decent. SOMETHING that is innate in most people. BE A DECENT HUMAN. Not even a nice one, Just DECENT would have been plenty.

This is an absolute hate crime. I hate to say that, but when kids start a "lord of the flies" mentality and a TEACHER engages with them instead of putting a stop and helping the actual child whose being harassed.... especially playing derogatory songs towards the child's skin color.... this a horrendous use of authority and power. I hope this child can get all the support legally and financially to defend her case. I am not religious but I am sending her reiki energy because I do practice witchcraft. I hope her and her family can heal and perpetrators get what they sow. Horse shit that this was just fumbled.

Even though I am beyond angry and I want the distrusting thing called a teacher to be fired and held accountable, I also want the little girl to be happy again. She is 12,12! How can you allow that to happen to a twelve year old? May god be with this precious little girl.

If you're a parent and your child is going either to preschool or school, talk to them - ask if they're being bullied but also if they're the bullies. Calmly, in a safe environment, without judging; ask about their peers, talk about the dynamics they have with each other. It's one way of taking the precautions and preventing a possible tragedy. And if in doubt, reach out to a professional - psychologist who specializes in kids and adolescents. Most importantly TALK to your kids, show them the support they may need.

When I went to high school bullying was bad. But nowadays bullying is vicious. I experienced bullying but nothing like the harassment that children will do to each other nowadays. It’s so vicious it’s heartbreaking, and no one cares either, it’s a very bad mix :(

I went to high school during the 90s, a school with a reputation for bad kids and a high number of teen pregnancies. I also experienced my fair share of bullying there. But now, I don't know what has happened to make some children as cruel and evil as they seem in this day and age. I just don't even know.

Where I live, there was a 12 year old girl who was attacked by a group of teens. She was stripped, beaten and absolutely humiliated and brutalized. The disgusting teens FILMED the whole thing, laughing, and it apparently went viral. I'm too scared to look it up, but at least some of the teens have been arrested. My heart breaks for all the kids existing in this extra twisted internet age. It was already scary and intense for me back in the mid to late 2000s and early 2010s, but it sounds like absolute hell for kids right now. PLEASE establish a safe relationship with trustworthy adults that you can share anything freaky happening to you online, younger ones. This is horrific.

I just commented on a video about this case earlier today. For all the alleged "zero tolerance" the schools supposedly have toward bullying, bullying is now worse than any other time in history. When I attended school in the late 70s and early 80s kid might tease one another but there was no actual bullying. I wouldn't put my kid near a public school in today's world. Private school or home school; that's it. School just might unalive your child.

When I was getting bullied in high school for being Jewish my mom went to the principal and he said “how are we supposed to treat this situation?” And my mom had to say “how would you treat someone getting bullied for being gay or being black???” I honestly think a lot of the times going to the principal doesn’t help, the kids might get in trouble but they’ll just come back and be even more mean at least in my experience :( this is terrible and I hope she can heal this trauma 💚

Yeah, considering the circumstances surrounding her being in the hospital she should have been a no information patient, and only family allowed in. The hospital dropped the ball there, bc if all of that was in place, no one should have known what room she was in, and if anyone came to see her security would have been called to escort them out.
@yubelwish9 күн бұрын
YOU RE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT‼️ From my experience working in the hospital the ICU is a high security lock down unit. You can't simply walk in the unit and a patient room without given access to entry and directed to the patient room by a staff member after checking the visitor's list. Not even biological family can visit or call to gain information without knowing the passcode or have their name on the list. For the bullies to know her room number and gain entry into the Intensive Care Unit *had* to be an inside job because I can't believe a hospital is this incompetent in security especially with this high priority case. I hope the hospital gets sued too for this privacy breach.

I was bullied from Kindergarten to the day of high school graduation. The school did absolutely nothing. I used to get warnings from teachers and the principal saying if I defended myself or fought bad I’d “be just as bad as the bullies bullying me.” Or I’d “turn into a bully too.” The ONE time they did something (or at least gave a week attempt at) was when my father threatened to publish my bullying journal to the newspaper and expose the school district for not doing anything to help me. Only then did maybe two of my bullies get told to stop bullying me, but by that point it was a week away from graduation. Schools don’t care until the victim starts raising hell as a last ditch attempt of maintaining even a sliver of their sanity. Or until the victim takes their lives.

I was bullied my freshman year of high school by a teacher. Every single day he’d make a mean comment about me, to me, or single me out, even when I started missing days on end of classes. It was just confusing because I had debilitating depression and anxiety and I wondered why he never ever asked if I was okay. If something was going on at home. Why the other students heard it all and never said a word and sometimes even laughed along with him at me. It’s more confusing to young people when the teachers are complicit or participate. I feel so so bad for this girl.

They don’t care. Heck I was bullied right in front of my 5th grade teacher and she acted annoyed when I started crying. They acted like it was a burden having to deal with me. Then one day in middle school I get called to the principal office cause one of the girls spreader a rumor about me saying I was the bully and not them. I then told the truth and was blamed for not seeking help. Told “you should’ve said something.” 🙄

South Carolina schools are horrible. The staff has this overwhelming cultural attitude that any teasing, bullying, or fighting is just normal childhood behavior. I overheard teachers taking bets on fights between students and waiting a few minutes before slowly walking over to break up altercations ( later in the day they would joke outloud in front of the kids about "who gave a bigger butt whooping" in that specific fight ( this is slang phrase for the winner in a physical fight in southern schools). Its so sick and messed up.

That teacher needs to be held accountable. Also, how come the victim's name can be circulated, but not the bullies? Gross double standards! Reminds me of when I was in third grade and my bully became bolder because the teacher favored her, and I was only pulled from school after an extreme event that severely traumatized me and gave me PTSD for life. That was back in the 90's! I would have thought that things would have changed after all of these years. I am utterly speechless and disgusted.
