"And it's work, right? You're supposed to be working. You're not supposed to be getting into a bunch of personal crap, right? Theoretically..." Best quote ever. Story of my life.

I think deep and intense processing of the environment and social emotional information will delay final processing. NT = fast, superficial processing. ND = deep, intense processing that looks like slow processing when in fact ND is processing much more information faster.

I've experienced losing the ability to speak or communicate with words via text. It was suggested that it may have been due to the limbic system shutting down the frontal lobes. In the neurotypical brain that may have been true. Neurodivergent brain will run the brain's prediction simulation until there is no resources for processing remaining. That will overwhelm processing and lead to a frontal lobe shutdown that disables Broca's area. Comes back online when resources are available. Wernicke's area in the midbrain is untouched allowing me to understand language.

It is hard to let go of people's opinions, even if they are strangers on the internet. I try to remind myself that even if I were perfect, not everybody would like me - look what happened to Jesus. My problem is that the more upset something makes me, the less likely I am to understand exactly why, much less explain it or fix it. Maybe drawing thought diagrams will help. Alexithymia's a beast. (Maybe you could do a video on it some time. Hint hint.)
